Digimon Ch 32
🕑 Added 2025-09-12 15:01:40 +0000 UTCA blinding light envelops Agumon and Gabumon. Their bodies shimmer, pixelating, and then a swirling vortex of data surrounds them like a digital cocoon. Digital code rains down around them, forming into what looks like... eggs? Giant, glowing digital eggs, encasing my partners completely.
"Agumon, Digivolve to—"
"Gabumon, Digivolve to—"
The eggs pulsate, growing larger and larger, filling the entire soundstage with their light. The air crackles with energy, and I can feel the anticipation building, a tangible force pressing down on us all. Dokugumon recoils, screeching in terror as it senses the power rising. This is bigger than anything it's ever faced.
Then, with a deafening roar that shakes the very foundations of the building, the eggs explode.
"Greymon!"
"Garurumon!"
Two figures emerge from the shattered remains of their digital prisons, larger than life, radiating power. My jaw drops. This is insane.
Agumon has become something truly awesome. No longer the small, playful reptile, he's now a towering dinosaur, easily fifteen feet tall. His orange scales gleam under the dim studio lights, marked with bold blue stripes that scream power. A hard, brown helmet covers his head, complete with a massive horn jutting out from his snout. This is Greymon, and he looks ready to rumble.
But Gabumon... he's even more impressive. Gone is the timid, furry creature. In his place stands a magnificent wolf-like beast, Garurumon. His fur is a striking mix of silver and blue, with dark stripes running down his flanks. Sharp, blade-like protrusions extend from his shoulders, looking lethal as hell. He moves with a grace that belies his size, a predator ready to pounce. Garurumon looks like a true apex predator, ready to tear Dokugumon to shreds.

"This is...the power of evolution..." Greymon says, his voice a deep, earth-shaking rumble.
Garurumon nods, flexing his claws. "We can feel it. The strength...the speed..."
"Enough talk," I say, adrenaline coursing through me. Dokugumon is still frozen in terror, its multiple eyes wide with panic. Now is our chance to end this. "Go! Show that spider what you're made of!"
Greymon roars, a sound that shatters the remaining windows in the studio. He stomps forward, his massive feet shaking the ground. Garurumon lets out a piercing howl, a challenge to Dokugumon.
The fight begins. Greymon charges, his massive frame a blur of orange and blue. Dokugumon tries to ensnare him with its webs, but Greymon swats them aside with a flick of his powerful tail. Garurumon is faster, more agile. He darts around Greymon, a silver and blue streak, nipping at Dokugumon's legs, forcing it to constantly readjust its stance.
Dokugumon stood no chance. It was like watching a kitten try to take down a pair of lions. Their Champion forms were too much.
Greymon slams into Dokugumon, sending it crashing through a stack of old film props. Wood splinters, metal crunches, and Dokugumon lets out a pained screech. Garurumon follows up with a series of rapid slashes, his razor-sharp claws tearing through Dokugumon's armored exoskeleton. Black ichor sprays into the air.
The soundstage becomes a scene. Greymon's brute force and Garurumon's speed carved a path through the dilapidated structure. They tore through walls like they were made of paper, revealing the skeletal frame of the building. The ceiling groaned under the stress, threatening to collapse.
"Mega Flame!" Greymon bellows, and a jet of pure, white-hot fire erupts from his mouth, engulfing Dokugumon in an inferno. The air shimmers with heat, and the stench of burning carapace fills my nostrils.
Garurumon doesn't let up, even as Dokugumon writhes in the flames. "Fox Fire!" he howls, unleashing a stream of blue fire that slams into Dokugumon, adding to the devastation. The two streams of fire converge, creating a swirling vortex of destruction.
With a final, agonizing shriek, Dokugumon dissolves, its data collapsing in on itself until all that remains is a small, pulsating DigiEgg. The light show fades, and Greymon and Garurumon stand panting, their bodies radiating heat. The soundstage is a disaster, littered with debris and smelling of ozone and burnt spider guts.
"We...we did it!" Garurumon says, his voice still rough from the battle. Greymon nods, flexing his claws.
"Not bad," I say, grinning. "Not bad at all."
Then, in a flash of light, they shrink. The hulking forms of Greymon and Garurumon fade, replaced by the familiar figures of Agumon and Gabumon.
"Ethan," Agumon says, his voice deeper than before, "we are very hungry."
Gabumon nods in agreement. "All that Digivolving... it takes a lot of energy."
I can't help but chuckle. Champion-level Digimon or not, they're still just big, hungry kids at heart. "Alright, alright," I tell them, grinning. "When we get back to the Digi-Home, I'll load you up with all the Hamburgers you can eat. How does that sound?"
Their eyes light up. "Hamburgers!" they both exclaim, practically drooling.
I grab Dokugumon's DigiEgg, which is still pulsating faintly, and point my Digivice at it. "Time to send this little guy back where he belongs." With a quick tap of the screen, the DigiEgg dematerializes, transported back to the Digital World.
[Mission Complete!]

"Sweet!" I pump my fist in the air. Ten more chances to get something good? I'll take it.
"Okay, team," I say, turning my attention to the cocooned figures hanging from the ceiling. "Let's get these people down and out of here before the cops or SHIELD show up. I have a feeling they wouldn't appreciate our… methods."
We work quickly, Agumon and Gabumon using their claws to carefully slice through the webbing, freeing the trapped people. They're groggy and disoriented, but seem unharmed. I point them toward the exit. "Just head that way," I tell them. "And maybe avoid abandoned film studios in the future, huh?"
With the last of the civilians freed, I clap my hands together. "Alright, let's bounce. I've got a feeling this place is about to become a crime scene."
We make our escape. This is another victory. Ten supply boxes. I’m looking forward to it.
