Digimon Ch 54

Gekomon, the little idiot, uses the chaos and breaks free. He makes a break for it, disappearing down a side street as the Hulk's roar intensifies. I swear I will find that frog dude and make him pay for this.
Think, Ethan, think! I can't fight the Hulk, not now. I have to get us out of here.
"Behemoth, now!" I shout, slamming my hand on my Digivice.
With a flash of dark energy, Behemoth materializes beside me, its engine rumbling with menacing intent. I swing my leg over the seat, feeling the familiar surge of dark energy coursing through me.
"Alright, everyone, pile on!" I yell over the Hulk's escalating rampage.
Gatomon, Agumon, and Gabumon don't need to be told twice. Gatomon leaps onto the seat behind me, her claws digging into the leather. Agumon and Gabumon scramble onto the back, holding on for dear life.
"What do we do now, Ethan?!" Gatomon asks, her voice tight with worry.
I rev the engine, Behemoth's tires spitting gravel. "We get the hell out of here! That's what we do!"
And with that, we're off, tearing through the plaza as the Hulk unleashes his fury on everything around us. I weave through panicked crowds, narrowly avoiding falling debris and crumbling structures. I try to drive as fast as possible, but there are too many people.
"Ethan, look!" Gabumon shouts, pointing towards a collapsing building. "There are people trapped inside!"
I glance back and see people running. Most get away, but a few didn't get away from the destruction. The Hulk is too strong, and he doesn't care who he hurts.
Crap, this just got worse. The Hulk's is trashing the place, accidentally hitting people. I can't just leave them to die.
"Damn it!" I curse under my breath. "Alright, new plan! We gotta save these people!"
"What?" Gatomon asks, disbelief lacing her tone. "Are you crazy? We can't fight him!"
"I know that!" I snap back. "We're not going to fight him. We're going to save the people he's not trying to kill."
I steer Behemoth closer to the collapsing building. "Agumon, Gabumon, start blasting any falling debris that's about to crush someone!"
"Right!" Agumon responds, his eyes determined. "Pepper Breath!"
"Blue Blaster!" Gabumon shouts, and they both unleash their attacks, incinerating chunks of concrete and metal before they can crush the fleeing civilians.
I ride Behemoth as close as I can. I see a family trapped under a pile of rubble, screaming for help. I focus on the road, but I try to save them. There is so much going on, and I am trying to help everyone I can.
"Hang on!" I yell, weaving through the chaos.
With one arm, I steer Behemoth, while the other I reach out, grabbing people and yanking them onto the motorcycle. I catch a kid before he gets hit by a beam, and I also grab a woman. They both thank me. I nod to acknowledge, but I don't have time to be thanked.
The whole time I keep my eye on the Hulk and the road.
We continue our harrowing rescue mission, dodging falling debris, explosions, and the Hulk's massive form. I can't help but feel a surge of adrenaline mixed with pure terror. This is insane. This is exactly the kind of chaos I wanted to avoid.
But if I'm going to get him to stop, I need to hit him, hard. Agumon and Gabumon are great, but they can't take on the Hulk, even if they digivolve. It's too risky, they'd get pulverized. But I can't just sit here and watch people get hurt.
I grip Behemoth's handlebars tighter. Fine. Time to roll the dice. I dig into my inventory, searching for something, anything, that can give me an edge. Then, I remember. Yeah, that might do it.
"Digi-Memory! Come, DarkTyrannomon!"
A swirling vortex of dark data erupts beside us. From it, a hulking figure materializes. DarkTyrannomon stands tall. Jet-black scales cover every inch of his body, a stark contrast to his Tyrannomon ancestor. Thick, muscular arms end in razor-sharp claws, and red stripes mark his head, tail, and limbs. Jagged, green dorsal spikes run down his back, and his eyes glow with a frenzied, bloodthirsty light. Iron bands are around its upper arms.

But that's not enough.
"Digi-Memory! Come, Minotarumon!"
Another portal opens, and this time, a hulking beast steps through. Minotarumon is a mix of man and bull. Patches of dark brown fur cover its muscular frame, held together by crude stitching and a large zipper down the front. A bull's head sits atop its shoulders, complete with curved horns and a menacing gold nose ring. But what really catches the eye is its left arm—a massive, mechanized "Demon Arm" that looks like it could punch through a building.

This is it. Let's see if these guys can take him on.
"BlackGatomon, get over here!" I yell, and with a quick button tap, I release her from the Digivice, along with Cutemon. "Cutemon, heal the injured! Now! BlackGatomon, with me. Gatomon, Agumon, Gabumon, you know the drill. Support those two meatheads."
"Understood," Gatomon says, her expression grim.
"You got it, boss," BlackGatomon says, cracking her knuckles.
"Agumon, Gabumon, let's do this!" I shout. The Digivice flared with energy.
"Agumon, digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Gabumon, digivolve to... Garurumon!"
The two Rookie-level Digimon erupt in a blinding light, transforming into their Champion forms. Greymon stands tall, his orange scales gleaming, and Garurumon bares his fangs, ready to fight. This should be good.
"Alright, big guys," I say, pointing at the Hulk. "Distract him. Keep him busy. Greymon, Garurumon, help them out. We need to buy Cutemon time to heal those people."
"You got it, Ethan!" Greymon roars, charging towards the Hulk with reckless abandon.
"Let's go!" Garurumon yells, following close behind.
"Let's get to work," Gatomon says to BlackGatomon. "Try not to get killed."
"Wouldn't dream of it," BlackGatomon retorts, a sinister grin spreading across her face.
DarkTyrannomon unleashes a "Fire Blast" straight at the Hulk. But the Hulk smashes the fire. Minotarumon slams his Demon Arm into the ground, sending shockwaves towards the Hulk. Greymon fires a "Nova Blast". Garurumon uses "Fox Fire."
The stage is set.
This is going to be one hell of a fight.
