This being of absolute goodness is said to bring happiness, and Angemon remains utterly composed in the face of evil, attacking relentlessly until its foe is annihilated. Legend has it that Angemon has often descended at the head of a host of other Digimon of the same species when the Digital World was in crisis. It’s also said that Devimon, who was won over to the Dark Side, was originally of the same species. Angemon’s special move is Heaven’s Knuckle, by which it pummels its foe with shining fists of gold.]
Angemon doesn't even acknowledge Devimon's taunt. He simply raises a hand, a staff of pure light materializing in his grip. Without a word, he launches himself at the dark Digimon, the staff crackling with celestial energy.
Devimon meets Angemon's charge with a snarl, his claws glowing with dark energy. They collide in a burst of light and darkness, the rooftop shaking from the force of their blows. Angemon's staff slams against Devimon's claws, sparks flying as holy energy clashes with unholy power.
I watch in awe as the two titans trade blows. Angemon is graceful and precise, his movements fluid and economical. Every strike of his staff carries the weight of divine judgment, forcing Devimon to backpedal.
"Heaven's Knuckle!" Angemon declares, his voice calm and resonant.
He channels energy into his fist, creating a blinding sphere of light that he slams into Devimon's chest. Devimon roars in pain, clutching at the point of impact. But he doesn't falter.
"Touch of Evil!" Devimon counters, his hand elongating into a shadowy claw that he plunges toward Angemon.
Angemon barely manages to dodge the attack, the claw ripping through his sleeve and leaving a scorch mark on his arm.
"You cannot win, Devimon," Angemon states, his gaze unwavering. "The light will always triumph over darkness."
"Such naive words," Devimon retorts, his eyes burning with hatred. "You believe your precious light can truly eradicate darkness? You are a fool!"
Devimon's rage empowers him, fueling his attacks with renewed ferocity. He unleashes a barrage of blows, forcing Angemon to fight defensively. I can see Angemon struggling, his movements becoming less fluid, his staff faltering under the onslaught.
"We can't just stand here!" Gatomon shouts, struggling to her feet. "We have to help Angemon!"
"Right!" BlackGatomon agrees, her eyes blazing with determination. "He can't fight that overgrown bat all by himself!"
With a renewed surge of energy, Gatomon and BlackGatomon leap back into the fray. Gatomon circles around Devimon, unleashing a flurry of 'Cat's Eye' attacks, trying to distract him and create an opening for Angemon. BlackGatomon, meanwhile, charges straight at Devimon, her claws extended, ready to strike.
"Lightning Paw!" she shouts, slamming her claws into Devimon's leg.
Devimon roars in annoyance, swatting BlackGatomon away with a backhand. But the distraction works. Angemon seizes the opportunity, slamming his staff into Devimon's face.
"Angel Rod!" Angemon exclaims.
The impact sends Devimon stumbling backward, giving Angemon a chance to regain his composure. Gatomon and BlackGatomon continue their assault, harassing Devimon from all sides, giving Angemon the space he needs to recover. They are a whirlwind of claws and fury, relentless in their determination to protect me and Angemon.
"Enough!" Devimon bellows, finally losing it.
The air crackles with dark energy as it begins to swirl around him, an unholy vortex of shadows. The rooftop seems to darken as the energy intensifies, making it hard to see. I can feel the oppressive weight of it pressing down on me, making it hard to breathe.
Suddenly, a sphere of dark data envelops Devimon, like some sort of twisted egg. It pulsates with an eerie light, the energy within growing stronger and stronger. Gatomon and BlackGatomon back away, hissing, sensing the immense power building inside.
"What's happening to him?" I ask, fear creeping into my voice.
Before anyone can answer, the egg shatters, and a figure emerges. Devimon is gone, replaced by something far more menacing.
NeoDevimon stands tall, his body shrouded in darkness. His form is humanoid, but twisted and grotesque. Jagged, tattered wings sprout from his back, casting long, ominous shadows. A mask covers most of his face, obscuring his features, but his crimson eyes glow with malevolent intent. Straps and belts crisscross his body, binding his power, like some kind of sick restraint. This isn't just Devimon evolved; it's Devimon corrupted, amplified, and enslaved. This is a whole new level of messed up.
"This... this is NeoDevimon," Angemon murmurs, his voice filled with dread. "A being of pure, unadulterated darkness."

The mask that covers its face is used to regulate its powers, and is said to have been placed there to rob NeoDevimon of its own volition. NeoDevimon’s special move is Guilty Claw, a powered-up version of Death Claw.]
NeoDevimon raises a clawed hand, dark energy crackling around it. I know, without a doubt, that this fight just got a whole lot harder.
NeoDevimon doesn't waste any time. He unleashes a torrent of dark energy, the force of it sending Gatomon and BlackGatomon flying. Angemon throws himself in front of me, taking the brunt of the assault. The energy slams into him like a tidal , his body glowing with holy light as he tries to withstand the attack. But the dark energy is too strong, overwhelming Angemon's defenses.
"Heaven's Knuckle!" Angemon cries out, summoning all of his strength for one final attack.
He lunges at NeoDevimon, his fist crackling with celestial power. NeoDevimon simply swats him away, like an insect. Angemon crashes into a wall, the impact shattering the brick. His body begins to glow, then fractures into motes of light, dissolving into data that fades into the digital ether.
I can barely process what just happened. Angemon, gone? Is this the power of an Ultimate-level Digimon?
Gatomon and BlackGatomon struggle to get back on their feet, but NeoDevimon is already upon them. He grabs them by their necks, lifting them into the air. Their claws scrabble uselessly, their eyes wide with terror.
"Guilty Claw," NeoDevimon hisses, dark energy gathering in his hand.
He plunges his claw into Gatomon's chest, then BlackGatomon's. They both scream, their bodies convulsing as the dark energy courses through them. I try to move, to help them, but my body refuses to respond. I'm paralyzed with fear, and I feel a sharp pain in my chest. The world starts to spin. I look down and see blood blooming on my shirt.
NeoDevimon drops Gatomon and BlackGatomon to the ground. They lie still, their bodies twitching, fading. I try to crawl toward them, but my arms give out. Everything starts to fade.
"No… Gatomon… BlackGatomon…" I manage to croak out, my voice weak and raspy.
NeoDevimon turns his attention to me, his crimson eyes burning with malevolent intent. He raises his claw, ready to deal the final blow. This is it, I think. This is how it ends.
Suddenly, I hear footsteps. Someone is running toward us.
"You…" NeoDevimon snarls, his voice filled with disbelief. "It can't be?!"
I can't see who he's talking to. My vision is too blurry, my body too weak. But I can hear a voice, a familiar female voice, speaking to me.
"Rest now," the voice says, its tone gentle but firm. "It is time to send you away. You will be safe."
I feel a strange sensation, a tingling energy surrounding me. A portal of swirling blue light materializes before me, pulling me toward it. I feel weightless, like I'm floating.
"Don't worry, Ethan, chu!" I hear Cutemon cry out, its voice filled with worry. "We'll be here when you get back, chu!"
Then, everything goes black.
