Chapter 45: Sky Battle 2
🕑 Added 2024-02-26 00:00:04 +0000 UTCI flew toward Dvalin trying to get close to him but sent powerful tornadoes to stop me. I tried to dodge but I underestimated the power behind those tornados and was carried by them, the winds shredding my armor. Fortunately, the armor still held on but getting shredded by wind and debris was still painful
“AAH!” I screamed from the pain inside the tornado
“Jun!” Lumine was worried about me and started shooting anemo energy at Dvalin
Dvalin started flying away trying to avoid Lumine.
“Look! There are two shiny spots on Dvalin's back! They appear to be poisonous blood clots that have coagulated on his wounds… That's what must be corrupting Dvalin's mind. To save Dvalin, we're going to have to get rid of those blood clots.” said Venti
Lumine began chasing after him while still shooting anemo energy. Dvalin sent wind blades at Lumine that were a darker color and Lumine dodged. The chase continued and on my side, I gritted my teeth and fought the force of the tornado and flew out of it.
*Heavy Breathing*
I felt tired but I saw Lumine and Dvalin fighting. I ignored my exhaustion and I focused on helping Lumine. I flew inside the clouds trying to not let Dvalin notice me.
Dvalin and Lumine were still fighting but Lumine couldn’t get any clean hit because Dvalin’s erratic movement. I suddenly came out underneath Dvalin and kicked him in the head.
*RAGH!*
Dvalin was caught off guard by that blow but I continued my assault punching and kicking his head. Lumine sees me giving an opening fired at the corrupted crystal at Dvalin’s back. From the damage done by Lumine, the crystal started cracking.
*ROAR!*
Dvalin roared from the pain and annoyance of our actions. Having had enough, multiple circular holes opened from the bridge of his wings. They glowed red and when I saw them I felt something coming. From each of the holes shot a red laser that moved erratically but was tracking our position. I flew to Lumine as fast as I could and grabbed her while dodging the lasers. The lasers were persistent and I tried to fly faster than I could but the lasers were slowly catching up.
“Lumine, can you shoot them!”
“I’ll try!”
Lumine shot at the lasers causing a small explosion but was able to stop them. She continued to shoot while dodging frantically, and eventually, she was able to take them all down. Dvalin suddenly flew right at us using his tail to hit us. I let go of Lumine and pushed her away.
“Argh!”
I got hit and was sent flying away
“Jun! How dare you.” Lumine was mad and shot at Dvalin. He ignored the shot and flew straight at Lumine. Lumine flew over Dvalin and dodged but was hit by his tail at the end. She lost her balance for a moment but stabilized herself.
She looked around and lost track of Dvalin. She tried looking for him but Dvalin came out below ready to strike her with his claws. The claw almost came down on her but Lumine saw something in the corner of her eye
[Flying Impact!]
I came out delivering a kick toward the corrupted crystal at Dvalin’s back
“Take this!”

My kick connected destroying the crystal
*ROAR!*
Dvalin roared in pain and fell. I went to Lumine and carried her, taking us to the others. Floating platforms appeared in the sky and on one of them I saw the rest of the group. I flew toward them and once I landed I put down Lumine
“Are you two okay?” asked Jean checking for injuries
“A little banged up, but I can shake it off.”
“Are you sure you’re okay.” said Amber more worried for me after seeing me get hit by Dvalin
“I’m really fine the armor protected me.”
Amber smiled at me when we noticed our surroundings. Storms are gathering around us with deafening thunder. Below is a whirlpool of storms gathering when suddenly Dvalin came out with lighting arcs going across his body. We hovered above us with his eyes furious at us, especially when he looked at Venti
Venti noticed this and was saddened but he promised himself to save him “Now we can fight Dvalin on equal grounds. The grandest bard is here to help! But first, let me be clear… Even after hundreds of years without use, Dvalin's teeth and claws are still very dangerous.”
“He got stronger after his transformation. I don’t remember him wielding lighting.” I said
*ROAR!*
Dvalin roared and swung his claw at us. We moved out of the way and Venti shot arrows imbued with anemo energy. Dvalin recoiled from the arrows but it did not do much damage. Lisa cast a spell that hit Dvalin causing him to land on the platform. Diluc, Jean, Eula, Kaeya, and Lumine attacked Dvalin. Diluc, Jean, and Lumine attacked his head. Diluc coated his sword in Pyro slamming his sword down on his head and I heard metal clashing and saw sparks
“Tch… his head is hard.” said Diluc annoyed
Jean and Lumine sent winds toward his head and Diluc shot his phoenix creating pyro-infused winds.
*ROAR!*
Dvalin roared from the heat and tried to move but he couldn’t. Eula and Kaeya moved to his hands and froze them in place. Since he was immobile I flew to the corrupted crystal on the back of his neck and started attacking it. Amber also started shooting her arrows at the corrupted crystal. All was going well but seemingly Dvalin had enough and electricity coursing through his body. He freed his hands, knocking away Eula and Kaeya.
“Aah!”
“Guh!”
“Eula! Kaeya!” I asked if they were okay
“We’re fine.” said Kaeya as he and Eula got up
Jean saw Dvalin and noticed no injuries, “We barely did anything to him.” she said in disbelief
Dvalin hovered above us and we could energy building up in his throat. Seeing the danger I warned everyone
“Everyone breath incoming! Evade it!”
Dvalin breathed out wind and lightning hitting the platform where we stood. I saw a white flash before passing out
