So basically, Rudy was reading the tension, but he didn’t have enough context. The vibes were off so he was trying to fix them, but at some point it occurred to Rudy this man might be important enough to have info to help him find his family. He asked about the mana disaster because ever since his encounter with Paul, he’s been desperate to do his part. He just fumbled, he’s not a genius, just smart for this world.

I think skipping the opening few seconds was the right call imo. I never liked the idea they kind of spoil what is coming later in the episode. It feels better to go in totally blind.

Oh, and something else from the LN. It's been a while since reading it but that purple fireball he created was him visualizing a nuclear explosion. If Orsted hadn't absorbed it with that dragon gate, it would have blown up the mountain, killed them all, and irradiated the whole area.

Well, Rudy didn't understand in the situation that the other two were so scared of Orstedt. Because he felt *nothing* from Orstedt he treated him like a normal person. The disconnect led to this.

Yeah ur right Chillih, it's because he doesn't have an in depth understanding of anatomy and biology. He essentially has to use the incantation to make up for his lack of medical knowledge.

The curse on superd is a difused curse. a big curse on one guy (lapace) defused to many, weakening the invidiaul curse on each superd. A loop hole. Since diffused curse is much smaller (but spread across many). it's easier to dispel over time (granted it's still taken 400 years)

Rudy just reacted the same way as when he encounter Ruijerd. Everyone is supposed to be scare of him so it's not really out of character. And i can't give any info about Orsted since even any hint could spoil haha
