The hospital scene in Spider-Man 2 is pure Raimi gold—it’s packed with all those horror vibes he’s famous for. You’ve got the dramatic zoom-ins, bloodcurdling screams, and those intense tracking shots that follow Doc Ock’s tentacles as they wreak havoc. There’s even a cheeky little chainsaw moment, all straight-up nods to Raimi’s Evil Dead roots. You can’t talk Raimi without mentioning Bruce Campbell. He’s got fun cameos all over Raimi’s stuff. He was in Darkman, then showed up in Spider-Man as the wrestling announcer who gives Peter the name “Spider-Man.” In Spider-Man 2, he’s the sassy theater doorman, and the plan for the canceled Spider-Man 4? Campbell would’ve been unmasked as Mysterio at the start of the movie, hinting that all his past "cameos" were Mysterio setting in stage Peter's journey as Spider-Man, along with casually messing with his life. Sam Raimi’s brother, Ted Raimi, plays Ted Hoffman in the Spider-Man movies, as the guy who suggests names like “Doctor Strange” to J. Jonah Jameson. Ted also had a role in Darkman and other Sam Rami movies. Darkman (1990), directed by Sam Raimi, was basically Rami saying, "I want to make a Batman movie but couldn’t get the rights," so Darkman was born. it’s a really fun "superhero" film, Rami's first comic book inspired film. Danny Elfman also composed the soundtrack for Darkman, also scored Batman (1989), Batman Returns, and later the theme for Batman: The Animated Series. So the Darkman soundtrack has a strong Batman vibe to it.
