I've been in a similar (well, not contextual but similar how he talks to her) about things I've cared about and when you can't get to someone or they won't listen due to XYZ internal problems... Sometimes your care turns into anger just to break a wall in their head down It hurts both parties, but it comes from a good place. Edit: to add, it can also come from similar traumas as well which is interesting

Last panel was really nice to see. Sure it’s maybe a bit aggressive but he’s right and it’s what she needs to hear. I also do see a bit of projection with him and his son. Fryx is the mother in this case, he loves his son even if his son doesn’t know it. Good on him for cheering up Nix, even if it was in a back hand kinda way. Btw the way, your art has improved soo much. I’m shit with names so I had to go all the back to remember Nix’s name and I just saw how much your art improved. It’s so cool to see! Keep it up man
