Necklace was a gift from cassandra before she passed. It was that which Callan lied about and Roger took it away from lynette. The item with the black stones which brings her back after death is a bracelet lynette has had since her first memories. She has had the bracelet since she was an Street urchin living in wayward Town.

Im a slightly confused. I thought the motherd heirloom was the on she gaines her extra lifes from and she was allowed to keep it though they dislike her for it? Why is Callan mentioning kara having it?

Well tbh I never really had a bad opinion about the family. They are all idiots, Lyn included to some degree, but there is a wording "hurted, hurt other people" sometimes not with malicious intend, but because they are not working fine either. Tell me your friends and I tell you whi you are. And everyone from that family besides maybe eigerhas good friends. Lyn somehow just ended up being the sandbag for everyone within and from outside of the family. I think most of the troubles she faced were partially, because she never was understood, wasn't good at making them understandnd and because they didn't care about her much, they didn't try to understand. We also have to think about how small those kids were at the time. Callan was a bratty boy being jealous and a little mean, but at that age? Happens, I would say. Though it shows that he has tendencies in his character that definetly aren't good ones, though how he interacts nowadays with Lyn shows me that he isn't actually that bad... 'hurted people, hurt people...'. The others acted also childish nor had the capacity to see beyond, espacially after wallowing in pity of their mothers/wife dead. Lynette probably became the outsider who isn't hurting as much, since she isn't truly one of theirs, trying already to take from the mothers heirlooms, truly despicable. Lynette was mostly adopted by her mother. So she hadn't had to many close ties with the others and it was easy to get those cut. And so they ignored her to some degree after "what she did". Which to be honest is understandable. They didn't trouble with her. And the brothers then went out of house, they probably never assumed she would be treated that bad and assumed she was just acting up, to either get attention or for whatever she is plotting. And since she was good at hiding the embarassing parts and was cared enough to be able to hide they didn't had much to assume she was treated bad. Who would think she isn't fed right when they eat the same food? Sure she didn't get as many nice things as Kara or wasn't allowed to social season at the capitol, but that was because she was behaving bad - so 'justified'. Their ignorance made her acting up and the consequences from it were just punishment which tbh wasn't that bad, if you consider what she either did or was supposed to have done, if I had supossedly threatened someone with a knife my ass would have been hurting the next decade. Their biggest sin is to have ignored her and never beliefed in her, because 'why would a child threaten several others with a knife?' it can't be as simple as the bad miss wanting attention. To be honest I don't even want to imagine the ramifications of that affair that she is able to even talk with her oppressor again and maybe make a friend out of her shows how good of a kid she is or how desperate in need for someone on her side she is. That she even would grasp someone wrist who hurted her so much, but I doubt the friendship will be truly deep. She can't trust peoole anymore. She is broken to a degree, every interaction she has feels like that there is something between them, seperating them. She might become one of those who never truly feel part of a group only calling them friends when they call her one, while hiding that insecurity - what that even means. I wonder, if she will be even capable of close relationships like eduart and callan might want again, after realizing what they have done. It didn't work between Kara and Lyn either. Much healing will be needed. The worst opinion I have is about Kara and Roger, well and the staff. The staff is obvious. But Kara and Roger? They were most of the time with her in the same mansion eating probably regulary together. They should have noticed. Roger should have been more mature about everything, sure he has a lot on his shoulders, but he has the eyes from a parent and he knows Lynette since her childhood, well he should have, but in truth he probably never truly accepted her. He tolerated her or accepted her as a house member, but maybe more like a niece he was supoosed to have an eye on as a tedious task put on him, rather than a child. And thats why he neglected her, to a degree that he didn't even realize how much he is hurting his household through it. Might have been a consequence from the late Madams own impulsive acts, as such I'm willing to not deem him outright an arse, but he definitely didn't fulfill his duties as such he is in the wrong? And arse? We might soon see when they have the talk about the revoking of the adoption. To be honest. It probably would be bad for Lyn, making her even more hurt, even though itneould seem fair to her to cut it, but that would end in a scar never truly able to heal, she still work fine, but over time it will become just worse, not better. We will see how this mess ends. Kara gives me the feeling of someone two faced. Not sure why. Though I doubt that feeling. She just isn't anything like her mother. Maybe not sincere in her doings. Maybe not caring. Maybe partially dumb and naive. Maybe she never saw Lynette for what she truly was and didn't even realize it herself. Like someone seperate from her family, not part of it, like a friend you call halfjokingly sister/brother, but in truth keep private things private from. Maybe she wanted more and better relationship, but she never truly took her time to priotize lyn, to really consider her and Lyns complicated feelings (Kara being the inly one she likes, while also being jealous) made any half hearted attempt to mske Lyn open up being rebuffed. Lyn was probably more like a thing on a big to-do list, being not espacially thrilling to do, compared to going to uppity partys. And when she has a bit of time to interact with Lyn she brings so many of her own ideas that she is patronizing her, like seperated parents who come to meet their charge after a long time and try to act like everything is good, not everyone can olay that game. Having her own needs fulfilled while Lyn just have to deal with it. A one sided relationship which Lyn doesn't even understand, how, why and what she is supposed to do with it. Also the thing having maids report on Lyn? She probably didn't even consider how creepy and conflicting it must have been for Lyn since she was in a poor position. Further down the line some harmless commands can bring much more harm than you can imagine. From someone who is supossedly the only one having eyes on Lyn and calling her friend and family she is fast to neglect her or ignore the details, because in truth she had other things in mind, the daily report from the ladys? At best something like the evening TV Show avout a football team you have put your name behind.
