Made It Home
🕑 Added 2022-08-03 15:00:59 +0000 UTCI made it home from the convention safe and sound. It was a good week of rest and I'm happy I took it and an extra few days at a local friend's house. But now that I'm back, I'm going to be making a few changes to how I do things to get back to where I used to. I feel like it's time to finally take this step.
First off, I'm going to be opening the higher tiers again when September starts. I would have done it for this month, but I didn't realize it was already August until I got home. But they will be changing. The $30 tier will be increased to $45 a month to reflect my price increase over the years. $50 will be raised to $75, and the $75 tier that was around for a short time will be brought back and raised to $115. Rewards will remain the same, but the price per word ratio will still be less than standard commissions, on top of the discount for standard commissions.
Secondly, I'm going to be shifting my approach to writing. I won't be going into details, but I used to try and do big spurts of writing whenever I was inspired to knock out as much as I could in a day. But I'm going to be adjusting things to where I have a smaller goal to hit every day. If I do more, great, if not, then I still hit my goal.
Third, I'm going to change the approach to the weekly patreon stories. I'm enjoying just posting different commissions each week, but I miss being able to do short stories for everyone (myself including) and sharing them. I'll start next week (August 8th) with a personal story of mine and continue with that until September. In September, I'll open polls for weekly stories again. And I'll bring back the monthly art piece with a story in September. (This idea will be fiddled with until something is found that is easy to handle but enjoyable for everyone. Just depends on how it works out with the potential influx from opening the higher tiers again)
Finally, I really can't put into words how thankful I am for those of you that have supported me over the last two years. They've honestly been the roughest I've had in my life mentally. And while I'm not through it and better, I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for everything that's happened. And it makes me incredibly grateful that everyone has been around, supporting me, and being patient with me as I've struggled each day.
Of course, I still have some catching up to do. I'm not finished yet and, at this point, the word count that some of you have built up has grown pretty massive. But, I'm far from done and I'm excited to tackle each step going forward.
Once again, thank you for sticking with me.
