Chapter 117: Saving Shizue
🕑 Added 2022-05-16 00:39:35 +0000 UTCYuki's smiling face suddenly turned into a panicking one as he disappeared from the commanding room using quick step and quickly ran to Rimuru's location and found Shion playing with him while he lay there asleep…
"I-I wasn't playing with him I swear" Spoke Shion hurriedly with a red look on her face, however Yuki wasn't in the mood for joking and he said calmly "Shion, please leave for now and do not allow anyone to enter this room, understood?"
"Y-Yes! Is something wrong?" She asked with a worried look on her face but Yuki simply shook his head and said "I will explain everything later…"
Shion nodded at this and left the room while Yuki picked up Rimuru from her arms and spoke to Raphael "Raphael, is there any way you can extend her life?"
[Notice: Negative, Shizue Izawa's body and spirit has sustained so much damage, and healing her would require reconstructing her spiritual body which will take longer than 30 minutes]
Yuki's face paled slightly before he asked hurriedly "How did her spiritual body get injured?"
[Notice: Her spiritual body was already in a weakened state after separating from Ifrit, and she was recently attacked directly by a curse that targets the spirit which made it difficult to heal her]
Kagali's image flashed through Yuki's eyes, but he didn't say anything and simply remained silent 'Even Raphael can't find a solution to rescue Shizue, what should I do? Evolving her is out of the question since we don't have enough time for her to fulfill the condition and I don't have anything else that could help her…'
While Yuki was deep in thought, he suddenly recalled the mission he recently completed and he had yet to accept the rewards… 'Please make it so that one of the rewards could save Shizue…' Prayed Yuki before he entered his system…
[Quest: A lord's duty (completed)]
[Host has completed the quest perfectly and shall be granted additional rewards]
[Accept rewards Yes/No]
Yuki without hesitation clicked yes while praying just like how his neighbor Ashiya prays whenever he sees him… And unfortunately, his prayers similar to his neighbor's, didn't work…
[You have received 2 Item upgrade points. Additional reward 1 item upgrade points]
Yuki's face fell into absolute despair as his final hope was crushed and he couldn't help but yell inside his head 'You fucking system, can't you just do me some good for once and help me out?'
The system didn't give Yuki any response, which made him almost go crazy as he punched the floor of the room causing a huge hole to appear in it and the whole house to shake as if it was about to collapse at any second…
'What should I do now?' Pondered Yuki with a panicked look before he suddenly realized something 'Wait, what if the system actually helped me… This mission, was it really a coincidence that I received it right after I saw Shizue… And it rewards… 3 item upgrade points'
Yuki's eyes suddenly lit up and he instantly asked the system in his head 'System, can I let my servants use my items?'
[Indeed idiot, servants are connected to you through the system and they can use system items as well]
"How did I not think of this from the start?" Yuki suddenly smacked his forehead very harshly for not realizing this sooner and his behavior shocked Raphael who already labeled Shizue as 'beyond saving'.
In reality, Yuki was being too harsh on himself, and the only reason he didn't think of this solution from the start was first, the system never told him that his servants could use his items and second, when he tried to give Emilia his Guardian's Orb for her to recover her mana, it didn't work and the system said that those items are bound to him and can't be used by other people… But apparently, that statement had some exceptions…
With new hope in sight, Yuki quickly used his dimensional link to ask Raphael 'How much health is she losing every minute?'
Raphael fell silent for a while before it spoke [Currently she has 10 more minutes to live and she's losing 2.89% every second and it's getting higher the more her state worsens]
'Hopefully this will be enough' thought Yuki before he started pouring his item upgrade points on his Guardian's Orb.
This item had the following effect at level 1…
[Guardian's Orb (1/10): A dream item for every beginner mage. Grants +40 Magic, +150 Mana. UNIQUE – RECOVERY: Restore 1% mana and health every minute]
And Yuki raised it directly to level 4 using all his upgrade points…
[Guardian's Orb (4/10): A dream item for every beginner mage. Grants +160 Magic, +600 Mana. UNIQUE – RECOVERY: Restore 4% mana and health every minute]
Yuki nodded with satisfaction at the new description of the item before he ordered Raphael 'Please get Shizue out of Rimuru's body'
Raphael responded in a monotone voice [Notice: The individual Shizue has 0.01% chances of surviving if she leaves the master's body, I suggest…]
"Do as I said Raphael and get Shizue out, now!" Yuki suddenly spoke directly with a cold voice which silenced Raphael who ended up doing as ordered without saying anything more…
….
Meanwhile, Shion and the others were all leaning their ears on the door of the room and they finally understood a little bit of what was going on
"Do you guys think Shizue-san will be okay?" Spoke Shuna with a worried look on her face and Shion couldn't help but reply tearfully "I'm sure she will, Yuki-sama will definitely save her!"
"Indeed, I'm sure Yuki will find a way" Spoke Gobta trying to peek through the keyhole on the door…
….
Yuki stared at Shizue's old body silently without saying anything, and surprisingly she opened her eyes at this moment and stared at him with a smile before she spoke weakly "Yuki, I'm glad I could get to see you again for one last tim—"
However, before she could finish her words, Yuki suddenly took out a blue orb from his chest and shoved it into her mouth… although it passed through her body without any obstacle, however it worked its purpose and stopped Shizue from continuing her depressed words…
Then, her eyes widened in shock as she felt a refreshed feeling covering her whole body from head to toe… This was the magic of a system's item… it didn't matter what kind of damage her body or soul sustained, this orb will always let the user recover 4% of their health and mana every minute no matter what!
"What's going on?" Asked Shizue and Yuki simply put a finger on her lips and said "Don't speak for now and just relax, we will talk once you are healed…"
"Healed?" muttered Shizue absentmindedly before tears started streaming from her eyes, and her covering her face with her hands didn't help in hiding the wide smile on her face…
…
Shizue's regeneration was slow at first since she was sustaining so much damage, but the more she healed the faster she regenerated and after an hour, she was back on her feet with her previous youthful appearance despite Raphael's shock!
This was a miracle, and no matter how much he tried, he wasn't able to analyze the item that healed Shizue and could only watch helplessly as Yuki returned it to his body…
Shizue making a recovery was a celebration worthy news and that night was a sleepless night as the town kept partying and enjoying themselves…
…
In the puppet nation jistav, Clayman suddenly smashed a cup full of wine on the floor as he felt his connection to his subordinate Mjurran getting cut off which he interpreted as her losing her life
"Those damn monsters ruining my plans time after time… It seems like I will have to make a move personally…and what better way than making one of the oldest demon lords into my puppet" muttered Clayman while staring at a crystal ball that showed Milim's image in tempest…
…
In the sorcerer's dynasty Sarion, Elmesia received a report of the failure of the invasion as well as the attack Yuki initiated on the free guild and she couldn't help but gulp slightly in fear
"A new Monster country has been established under the leadership of a newly born demon lord… But why am I scared of that human behind him instead of the demon lord himself…"She muttered and she suddenly started to regret her decision of stalling the dwarf army out of spite…
…
So many people received the news of what transpired in the free guild as well as in the great jura forest, and this news even reached the eastern empire and caused some small waves there as well…
Meanwhile, inside the holy empire Ruberious, demon lord Luminous Valentine, the true leader of this empire suddenly had an enraged look on her face as she received the report that her greatest holy knight Hinata was held captive inside a monster's country and she immediately prepared herself to set off to free her..;
…
In a cell that was covered with an anti-magic barrier as well as other restrictive barriers. Hinata sat on the ground calmly without showing the kind of fear that would appear on a prisoner's face… However, her expression soon shifted as she was approached by three people… Rimuru, Shizue, and the man who imprisoned her… Yuki!
"What do you plan to do with me?" Asked Hinata coldly and Yuki calmly replied "I haven't decided yet, although nothing would be too cruel to you as punishment for what you did"
Hinata's face twitched slightly before she shot Shizue a look and activated her unique skill mathematician and didn't notice anything wrong with Hinata…
'What's wrong? Was Yuuki's information wrong? Why can't I detect anything wrong with her body? In fact, she seems healthier than ever before' She thought, perplexed by the unexpected discovery, and Yuki couldn't help but smirk at her and ask
"Surprised? You didn't bother to listen to the truth and directly decided to attack our people and kill them… I wonder what kind of morality makes you think that this is what justice should be like"
Hinata glared at Yuki before she turned to Shizue and asked "Are you really sensei?"
Shizue nodded at her with a sad look and said "Someone was mind-controlling us, in fact according to Rimuru-san you still have some traces of mind control on you, and we think it's probably Yuuki's doing …"
Hinata's eyes widened in shock at this news… This was far from what she ever expected!
