Connecting visual notes with Obsidian Excalidraw
🕑 Added 2024-04-25 23:10:24 +0000 UTCI've been on a real visual note taking kick recently, thanks mostly to spending time with the visual PKM extraordinaire himself, Zsolt VicziΓ‘n. This week's video addresses the problem of connecting visual notes in the same way that we do textual notes. After all, some might say linking our thinking is what's transformative about taking notes.
In the video, I talk about these ways to connect visual notes:
Linking visual notes, including determining whether to link the visual side or textual side
Embedding visual notes: should you use Markdown, PNG, or SVG formats for Excalidraw drawings or hybrid notes?
How to link/embed parts of images, kind of like block references
I also demonstrate a real use case for embedding visual notes.
Livestream with Zsolt
Zsolt and I are planning a livestream, and we know we want it to be about Excalidraw, but are there particular parts of it we should talk about? Excalidraw basics? More about the back of the note concept? Going from drawings to a visual PKM? I'd love to hear what you want more information on, and if you have any questions you'd like to ask him/me.
Have a great weekend and take care of yourselves!
