🕑 Added 2023-02-11 00:00:03 +0000 UTCNew video is finished! The Maniacal Cinephile reviews the 1980 movie and 1997 miniseries THE SHINING on the latest episode of Boots To Reboots.
The Shining is a 1997 three-episode horror television miniseries based on the 1977 Stephen King novel of the same name. Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson/Steven Weber) becomes winter caretaker at the isolated Overlook Hotel in Colorado, hoping to cure his writer's block. He settles in along with his wife, Wendy (Shelley Duvall/Rebecca De Mornay), and his son, Danny (Danny Lloyd/Courtland Mead), who is plagued by psychic premonitions. As Jack's writing goes nowhere and Danny's visions become more disturbing, Jack discovers the hotel's dark secrets and begins to unravel into a homicidal maniac hell-bent on terrorizing his family.
Second and third tier members will be able to watch right now. However, a YouTube ad-friendly version will be available to everyone else after the early access period.
Thank you so much, Stitched Together Family!

Very excited and just gonna take a guess that the mini-series gets the boot even though Mick Garris did do a great job with the mini series of The Stand
