🕑 Added 2020-01-26 17:30:02 +0000 UTCHi. This week, I was working on artificial intelligence (AI), added a new character (Yotra), a blacksmith, and of course I was fixing bugs:)
1) NPC: Rewritten NPC and AI logic. The code has become more optimized and flexible.
- Redesigned all the past state of the NPC.
- Removed the state when the NPC just stood still (idle).
- A new state has been added to replace the previous one: rest. When entering this state, the NPC goes to "rest" at the specified point on the map.
- Redesigned NPC interaction with beds and work objects to eliminate bugs.
- Fixed a bug: the AI did not turn to the player during the dialogue.
- Redesigned NPC head turns: completely redesigned logic from normal turns to inverse kinematics (IK) of the character. Also fixed restrictions on head turns (so that you don't turn your head in your sleep).
2) New content:
- Added new character: Yotra! Yotra is a hard-working gnome (not dwarf), designed to help the player in his difficult path, modifying armor and weapons, and also don't mid emptying a couple of bottles of mountain beer:)
- Forge added to the Felin's village.
- Added the "dummy" dialog.
3) Fixes:
- Fixed bug: Alice's tail physics (forgot to fix it).
- Moved the source of the sound (voice) of the NPC from the character to the head for more realism.
- Fixed a bug with the "hands in the lock" animation. Now it turns off when you exit the dialog.
