Name change? Vote here, or suggest other ideas
🕑 Added 2023-03-27 23:26:27 +0000 UTCSince I am in the process of opening an actual Steam page (very long overdue at this point), I figure I should actually determine if I want to keep D.O.R.F. as a title, thus I am running a public poll here and on Twitter.
The alternative to D.O.R.F. as a title will be Wartrash. This name is more evocative of having a military/war theme (duh), is a completely unique name (as far as the US copyright database is concerned, anyway), and is somewhat related to one of the game's mechanics of harvesting scrap for resources. Also it just sounds cooler, like it could be the name of some late 80's thrash metal group.
Though if you like neither, you could just post a comment below.

You could compromise and call it something like DORF: Wartrash

DORF might not 'fit' as well as 'Wartrash', but it's so thoroughly it's own unique name that it's better overall.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that we do change it before release. Though changing it now would complicate some things.

I agree with Wartrash being better as it immediately is known the game is about war… I can imagine many people hearing/seeing DORF and thinking wtf is that? And immediately forgetting about it. I also can’t even find anywhere what DORF stands for which doesn’t help. Please change title!!
