Fellow warriors, welcome back! Here’s the latest on our two-handed overhaul.
1. Claymore Stab: Perfection vs. Progress
I spent two full days trying to make the forward stab feel perfect… and it still felt “meh.”
Time to sheath that idea and forge a new move instead. Better a finished blade than an unfinished legend.
2. New Combo Plan
Main version: Wide, sweeping strikes—big arcs, great coverage.
Experimental option: One combo becomes two hits. right→right, left→left (4 hits total). I’ll slow the gap between combos to keep DPS fair. No promises yet, but I want to try.
3. Sharing the Craft
I keep meeting modders stuck on the same potholes I hit. So I wrote a step-by-step blog post of my current workflow. If it saves someone’s sanity—and spawns more mods, spicy or not—worth every minute.
Need help? Patrons can always ping me on Discord for a quick answer.
Why that blog? It sits on my family’s tech site about Azure and AWS. Strange bedfellows, but free hosting is free hosting—don’t be shocked by the server jargon around my animation notes.
4. Tomorrow’s Resolve
Instead of polishing the claymore stab forever, I’ll start fresh on the other two-handed attack animations. The real duel, as always, is against my own perfectionism.
May Kynareth’s gentle winds steady our swings and carry this work to those who need it.
