UML 2025 - Voting for new leagues (Read description)
🕑 Added 2025-05-10 15:17:41 +0000 UTCTomorrow (May 11th) at 14:00 CET we're officially opening polls for voting on new leagues to add to the UML database.
The voting will only be available for Patreon members (tier 1, 2 and 3). We want legitimate results therefore we need to make sure the votes are coming from our audience and that there are no multiple votes by the same person, while also giving the privilege to our members to make the decision.
The voting system will be simple, you will get a form to fill in with these steps:
1. Enter your Patreon e-mail (make sure to provide the correct one, otherwise your vote won't count)
2. Select the leagues you want
3. Submit the form

These are the league options you'll be able to vote on:
Pot 1 - 🇫🇷 Ligue 2 or 🇩🇪 Bundesliga 2 (Ligue 2 is currently in the database)
Pot 2 - 🇺🇸 MLS or 🇲🇽 Liga MX (MLS is currently in the database)
Pot 3 - two European leagues choices (options: 🇨🇿 🇳🇴 🇬🇷 🇦🇹 🇵🇱 🇮🇱 🇸🇪 🇭🇷 🇷🇸 🇨🇭 🇺🇦 🇭🇺 🇷🇴 🇨🇾 🇸🇮 🇧🇬 🇮🇪 🇸🇰 )
Pot 4 - one Asian league choice (options: 🇲🇾 🇹🇭 🇰🇷 🇶🇦 🇮🇷 🇨🇳 )
One chosen European league will replace the current EuroLeague
2nd chosen European league will replace the current Swiss league (if Swiss league isn't chosen)
The chosen Asian league will replace the current Russian league (Russian league will be added back if they get unbanned from international competitions)
First round of voting will decide the leagues for Pot 1 and 2
Pot 3 and 4 will have a second round of voting with a smaller number of choices (3 highest voted leagues)
Voting starts on May 11th 14:00h (Central European Time) and will last for 7 days (2nd round will start on May 19th)

Hello UML! I’d like to commend the initiative of caring about the community’s interests regarding the leagues they’d like to see included in the game. Not long ago, I made a comment about the possibility of creating league switchers, so that users themselves could swap and apply leagues (e.g., Russian for UAE and vice versa / MLS for Peruvian and vice versa), and I still believe this could be an interesting idea that would offer users greater freedom. There are patches that do this by creating a switcher folder where the necessary files to apply a specific desired league are readily available. Among them is an EDIT file for each league, along with other .bin files. For those who’d like to switch leagues, the replacement process could be done at any time, meeting the needs of both those who want to keep the game as it is and those who’d like to see changes that weren’t covered in the votes. Given that we still face issues with teams that play in certain international competitions like the Libertadores, for example, this could be an alternative way to meet the wishes of players who enjoy these competitions and truly appreciate your patch—so much so that they stop playing others because of UML’s quality. Anyway, thank you very much for all the effort and attention you’ve given to users. We hope UML keeps getting better for everyone.
