I did consider not including this build because of us only being about three weeks out from a major Patreon update, but in the end my unwillingness to leave the bugs and typos that have been lingering any longer won out. Hence, here we are, with an update for both the Itch and Patreon readers!
There’s no major notes needed for this one. Suffice to say that this update boils down to a couple of things:
- Hundreds of typos across all days have been fixed with extreme prejudice.
- Lingering bugs, especially around Event and game night variables, have been squashed.
This should result in a far more palatable experience for all readers, regardless of the version you’re reading. Moving forward, more emphasis and a dedicated tester will result in typos being a (hopeful) thing of the past, and further testing of builds before they even hit Patreon should result in any triggers not going off correctly being identified and rectified before they hit our paid supporters.
I hold no illusions that this will fix everything going forward. I view every successful code compile with suspicion and every read I do where a typo isn’t found with seething mistrust. As Void Dreaming continues to grow in size and complexity moving forward however, I’m confident that these measures I’ve undertaken, the help I’ve solicited, and the help I probably will yet solicit will help me provide you all with the story that I want you all to have, in the best possible quality for you to have it.
