Although the home was beautiful, after dinner, Grandma Lu urged the young couples to go out.
The county town was lively during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and young people should go out and enjoy themselves, taking advantage of this rare opportunity to be alone together.
Grandma Lu was quite open-minded and had her own ideas about this matter.
Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng, Lan Hua and Yu Fenglin, as well as Da Niu and Zhou Qiao, didn't need to go out. They were still young, and with so many people outside, it wouldn't be good if anything happened. Besides, they had plenty of fun at home.
Shu You didn't go out either because she was pregnant, and it was crowded outside, making it easy to bump into things.
They had lanterns to admire at home, and Zhao Xi accompanied her as they strolled along the corridor.
On the other hand, Lu Sanzhu and Liang Shi muttered a few words before running out to take a look. They sneaked out, not even taking Da Bao and Bao Ya along.
When the elderly lady found out, she felt like chasing after them with a chicken feather duster.
Lu Dasong and Li Shi stayed at home, taking care of Xiao Zao Zao. With a granddaughter, they were very content and didn't care whether they went out or not.
As for the other children, except for the slightly older Er Niu, Da Bao, and Shu Rui, who went out to play with their friends and classmates, the rest stayed at home.
Meng Han didn't go out either. She liked these children and had personally helped them decorate. Seeing the children happy made her feel a sense of achievement.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival was harmonious both at home and outside.
Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng found a quiet place to walk slowly together. Occasionally, they looked up at the bright moon in the sky, giving them a feeling that they were the only ones in the world.
Even without speaking, they felt relaxed and at ease.
"By the way..."
"I think..."
After walking quietly for a while, they suddenly spoke at the same time. As soon as they opened their mouths, they both froze for a moment.
Meng Yunzheng chuckled and held her hand. "You go first."
"I think... recently, you seem to have grown a little taller."
Meng Yunzheng burst into laughter. "You noticed that?"
Shu Yu widened her eyes. "You've really grown taller? You're already in your twenties, and you can still grow taller?"
Meng Yunzheng, "..."
Shu Yu, "I'm only sixteen, but it seems like I haven't grown at all this year."
Meng Yunzheng touched her head. "I think it's just right." Shu Yu was already 1.67 meters tall, which was considered tall in this era.
Shu Yu was quite satisfied with her height. She just thought that if Meng Yunzheng continued to grow taller, it might be a bit troublesome for them to kiss in the future... Ugh, why was she thinking such improper thoughts in public?
Shu Yu took a deep breath. "By the way, what did you want to say just now?"
Meng Yunzheng furrowed his brows, feeling that her expression had been strange just now, and the topic change was too sudden.
Shu Yu felt guilty under his gaze and touched her face. "What's wrong? Can't I say it?" Did he see through her indecent thoughts?
"No, just now, I was about to say that October is coming soon." They continued walking forward until they found a secluded place, and he naturally took her hand.
"Um, what's the matter?"
"At the beginning of October, the title deed and the land deed for the estate in the black market will be transferred. When that happens, the house will start to be renovated. What kind of room do you want ours to be like?"
Our... room?
Shu Yu couldn't help but cough.
Meng Yunzheng stopped and looked at her, suppressing a smile as he asked, "What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?"
