Wei Ronghua felt a bit embarrassed by her laughter. He had indeed thought about returning to the capital and had been waiting for this day.
When he left the capital years ago, he had rented out his house, and the previous tenant had moved out just two months ago. He had planned to ask a friend to find a new tenant, but then he heard the news from Master Miao.
He saw it as an opportunity and asked his friend to clean up the house. Now that he was going back, he had a place to stay.
Shu Yu withdrew her gaze. "Alright, shopkeeper Wei, you have an idea then. Oh, by the way, there is already one assistant in the shop. His name is Ren Yiping, and he is an assistant at shop in Jiangyuan County. He is quite clever and eloquent, a seasoned hand. However, one assistant in the shop is not enough; we need to hire another one. I'll leave this task to you, shopkeeper Wei. Recruit the right person before the opening and provide them with some basic training."
Wei Ronghua nodded. "No problem."
"With half a month left, shopkeeper Wei, you will have a significant responsibility during this time. It won't be easy, so thank you for your hard work."
Wei Ronghua smiled. Having something to do was better than having nothing to do. Moreover, Lu Xiangjun had given him considerable authority to wield, and just from this, he felt a surge of motivation.
Shu Yu finished her words and realized it was getting late, so she planned to leave.
Wei Ronghua quickly stood up and said, "It's almost noon. How about having lunch here before you leave?"
Shu Yu waved her hand, "No, I still need to get back home."
Tomorrow was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and she didn't want to delay here for another night. It would be better to get back early.
Seeing that she was indeed in a hurry, Wei Ronghua didn't insist and accompanied her outside.
Hearing the commotion, the people in the yard who were picking vegetables turned to look.
Wu Fengyuan stood up and clapped his hands, smiling, "Are you finished discussing?"
"Yes, shopkeeper Wei will become my most capable shopkeeper from now on."
Wu Fengyuan congratulated them and, seeing Shu Yu was leaving, he naturally didn't detain her any longer.
Wei Ronghua escorted both of them to the door and gave them two large baskets of vegetables.
After all, they were about to return to the capital, and everything in this house needed to be cleaned up.
As soon as Shu Yu and her group left the door, Hu Geng and Wei Fangfang both looked eagerly at Wei Ronghua. He smiled and said, "Alright, let's have lunch first, then pack up this afternoon. After the Mid-Autumn Festival tomorrow, we'll return to the capital."
Both of them jumped up excitedly upon hearing this, and cheers echoed from afar, even reaching Shu Yu, who had already walked out of the alley.
She smiled and turned to look at Wu Fengyuan, who seemed to be in a good mood, even carrying the baskets of vegetables himself.
Curious, she asked, "It seems like you've encountered something very happy just now, Master Wu?"
Wu Fengyuan chuckled and finally handed the baskets to his attendant behind him. "Indeed, it's a happy event. After all, both Lu Xiangjun and I have found our rare talents."
"Hmm?"
"I actually came to the Wei family this time for Hu Geng. I wanted to ask him to work at my stable."
Shu Yu was even more surprised. To be honest, when she saw Wu Fengyuan coming with her to the Wei family, she thought he had something to discuss with her and waited specifically for it.
But it turned out not to be the case?
Wu Fengyuan continued, "Hu Geng is from a grassland family. He grew up on horseback and has a natural talent for horse taming. He's very skillful."
