Shu Yu bid farewell to Sister Qiu and left the mountain with Ying Xi.
During her trip, Meng Yunzheng had some business to attend to, and she had no idea what Meng Han was doing back at the inn. Most likely, she was bored.
And indeed, the bored Meng Han couldn't stay in the inn any longer. She had initially thought that her cousin, Meng Yunzheng, had asked Xia Yan to keep an eye on her, so she tried mentioning going out for a stroll. Surprisingly, Xia Yan readily agreed.
Meng Han was overjoyed and quickly took her pocket money, following Xia Yan out of the inn.
In her eyes, Dong'an Prefecture was lively. After all, she had been living in Chenggu County's county town, and compared to the Dong'an Prefecture, the county town wasn't all that exciting.
Meng Han found everything fascinating and decided to try a noodle shop for lunch, where she had instant noodles.
Although she had heard about this delicacy, her cousin was quite possessive, and her uncle said those noodles were for him during his exams and couldn't be touched.
So this was her chance to finally taste them.
She cooked and ate a full meal, even buying a couple of dry instant noodles to take away, as they were also delicious to eat dry.
However, Xia Yan stopped her in time, "Miss, these instant noodles are produced by Miss Lu's family. You can eat as much as you want when you return to Jiangyuan County tomorrow. Why waste money on them here? These instant noodles are not cheap."
After all, they were a rare delicacy, and the ingredients were genuine, making the price significantly higher than regular noodles.
Meng Han felt a bit disappointed but understood. She was currently away from home, and even though she brought her savings with her, her cousin didn't let her spend money casually. After all, she planned to stay away for several months before returning.
Full and satisfied, Meng Han strolled around Dong'an Prefecture.
But not long after she had walked, she saw a group of fierce-looking people heading toward an alley.
Meng Han's eyes widened, "Xia Yan, Xia Yan, those people look like they're going to fight. Let's follow them and see."
"Eh, Miss." Xia Yan sighed helplessly but had no choice but to follow. He whispered, "Miss, you're not familiar with Dong'an Prefecture. It's best not to get involved in situations you don't understand."
"I know, I just want to take a look," Meng Han had a good sense of her own capabilities.
She quietly followed to see what was going on.
As they approached the alley, Xia Yan couldn't stop her in time.
Meng Han peeked and indeed saw those fierce people bullying two young girls in the alley.
The two girls, one big and one small, looked particularly helpless.
Meng Han turned to Xia Yan, "Are we really not going to help? Shouldn't we report this to the authorities? I..."
Before she could finish her words, Xia Yan's face changed, and he rushed forward, starting a fight without saying a word.
Meng Han felt a gust of wind as Xia Yan dashed ahead, and before she could react, the sounds of a brawl filled her ears.
She widened her eyes, "..." Didn't we agree not to get involved? Why did you act faster than me?
Just as she was thinking, Meng Han saw someone rushing past Xia Yan, intending to grab the two girls.
"Stop!" Meng Han rushed over and kicked the person against the wall, extending her hand to protect the two girls.
