Aunt He was curious, "What other situations? What do you mean?"
Xia Yan clicked his tongue, "When Miss Lu asks for the east, our young master won't even look towards the west. Our young master is absolutely devoted to Miss Lu and won't spare a glance at other girls. If anyone dares to harm Miss Lu, our young master will definitely make them pay..."
"This, you should tell her in front of Miss Lu." Suddenly, Meng Yunzheng's voice came from behind.
Xia Yan was startled and quickly stood up, retreating a couple of steps, "Young... Young Master, you're here. Did Miss Lu fall asleep?"
Meng Yun Zheng glanced at him, "Are you free?"
"No, Young Master, I'm very busy."
Meng Yunzheng handed him the tray without expression, "Feed the horses properly now, and tomorrow morning, prepare the carriage and leave the city."
"Understood, Young Master."
Meng Yunzheng turned and left, and only after Aunt He couldn't see him anymore, did she touch her pounding heart.
But the next moment, she suddenly thought of something and raised her head, "You're leaving the city tomorrow? But, isn't tomorrow the day when the exam results are announced?"
Xia Yan shrugged, "Didn't I tell you? Compared to matters with Miss Lu, the exam results are not important at all."
After a while, Aunt He finally understood the meaning of his words. So, Miss Lu didn't come to keep an eye on anyone?
Xia Yan didn't chat with her for long and had other things to do. He took the tray and went to the kitchen.
Seeing that it was getting late, Aunt He quickly finished washing the clothes and then went to the kitchen to prepare dinner before returning home while it was still dark outside.
Shu Yu had slept for a while and was feeling much better.
When she woke up, Meng Yunzheng was in the room. He had slept here last night too, but there was another bed in this room, and it was cooler to sleep on the mat during this hot weather.
"Feeling better?"
Meng Yun Zheng glanced at the injury on her palm. Fortunately, the medicine Zhao Xi gave her was quite effective, and Shu Yu's injury was not too serious.
Shu Yu moved her hands and feet; although she still felt a bit stiff, her movements were fine.
But Meng Yun Zheng still brought the meal over personally.
Thus, Aunt He, who had come early to prepare breakfast, witnessed him feeding Shu Yu again.
After finishing the meal, Shu Yu couldn't wait to leave the city.
By now, the city gate was almost open. Meng Yun Zheng had already asked Xia Yan to prepare the carriage and bring it to the gate, then he helped Shu Yu out of the house.
Then he returned and gave Aunt He a bag of money.
"You'll have to look after the house. If we come back late and the official messenger comes to announce the results, you can use this money to reward him."
Aunt He became a little nervous, "Shouldn't Young Master wait until the official messenger has finished announcing the results before leaving? It won't take much time. The exam results are significant, after all."
"I can't wait." Meng Yun Zheng waved his hand and left quickly, getting on the carriage.
"Let's go."
Xia Yan flicked the reins, and the carriage rolled towards the city gate.
Meng Yunzheng placed a soft cushion as a pillow behind Shu Yu to make her more comfortable while sitting.
Shu Yu's body was not very agile, so she leaned back in the carriage and closed her eyes to rest.
Therefore, she didn't notice that the streets were already bustling early in the morning today. Many people were passing by, especially those nervous and anxious candidates who had gathered in front of the bulletin board early.
