Unexpectedly, Ying Xi nodded and then said in a somewhat shaky voice, "Yes, it's Yao An and Wang Jiayi."
Shu You furrowed her eyebrows, "They've returned from the capital?"
"Yes," Ying Xi nodded, "I think Yao An's injury has improved, but he still limps when walking. I don't know if it's because of the medicine Doctor Zhao used last time or if it's because he didn't fully recover before rushing back home. In any case, all three of them have lost a lot of weight."
Shu Yu thought about when she was in Huajiang Prefecture, she sent a letter to Yao Tianqing after seeing the exorbitant prices at the Yao family's restaurant. She wondered if her letter had an effect or if Yao Tianqing had already planned to send Yao An and Wang Jiayi back.
Ying Xi continued, "Young Master Meng didn't know Yao An and Wang Jiayi, so he didn't pay much attention to them at first. I didn't dare to say anything either. But then Yao An got angry and mentioned Miss's name."
At that time, Meng Yunzheng and his group had already finished their business in the capital and were having lunch at a restaurant. On their way back to Jiangyuan County, they passed by the Yao family's restaurant.
Meng Yunzheng thought about the letter that Shu Yu sent to Yao Tianqing. He wasn't sure if the other party had taken any measures after receiving the letter or if the prices had come down.
Since they were passing by, they decided to go in and take a look to confirm before heading back to give Shu Yu a definite answer.
Meng Yunzheng asked the others to wait outside while he went inside to have a look.
The prices had indeed come down, and not only that, the revolving model on the counter had been replaced with a statue of the God of Wealth. The demeanor of the shopkeeper was completely different from the last time they met.
Meng Yunzheng was satisfied with the changes and was ready to leave.
It was at that moment that Yao An and the others entered the restaurant. They had just disembarked from a boat.
The Yao family had sent someone to greet them at the dock, but they didn't expect that the one coming to greet them was Yao An's younger brother.
The younger brother scolded Yao An on the way, blaming him for causing trouble in the capital, bringing disaster to the family, and causing the restaurant's business to plummet, leaving them with no customers.
Yao An couldn't stand it and almost kicked his younger brother out of the carriage. He didn't believe his father would be so ruthless and wondered if the prices had really come down.
So the carriage took a detour and arrived at the restaurant's entrance.
After Yao An and the others got off the carriage and saw the empty restaurant, he couldn't help but burst into angry curses.
Not only did he curse Yao Tianqin and his family, but he also insulted Shu Yu, saying that he should have forced himself on her without any reservations.
Hearing this, Meng Yunzheng, who was about to leave, immediately changed his expression and turned to look at Yao An and the others fixedly.
Thankfully, someone quickly restrained Yao An and took him into the restaurant, preventing him from continuing to shout.
However, Meng Yunzheng's gaze fell on Ying Xi. Among the people present, Ying Xi had been following Shu Yu all this time and knew exactly what had happened.
Ying Xi had no choice but to tell Meng Yunzheng the whole story.
After that, Meng Yunzheng decided not to leave the city that day and found an inn to stay.
The next day, he began inquiring about the Yao family's situation, and it was clear that he was planning to do something big.
Hearing this, Shu Yu couldn't help but hold her forehead. She hadn't expected that Yao An would go off the rails and couldn't be stopped.
"Then what happened? Did he deal with Yao An?"
*Yao An just seeking his death hahaha
