Fang Cong scratched his head, "Nothing much, I thought Miss Shu Yu was a customer here to place an order. Since Miss Shu Yu wants to build a workshop, there's no problem at all."
Shu Yu raised an eyebrow.
Fang Cong continued, "In fact, boss instructed me to postpone the larger orders that came in recently until next year because he wanted to build a workshop for Miss Shu Yu."
Shu Yu was surprised, "Dad, you knew about this?"
"Of course, I knew. Da Niu told me. He asked me to find a spacious piece of land for you. I also know the time it takes for your sunflowers to mature. Once they are ripe, we won't be able to do anything without the workshop," Lu Erbai explained. "Since you've been in the capital and haven't returned, Da Niu and I discussed it. If you didn't come back in another half month, we planned to buy the land first and start building the workshop. Otherwise, it would be too late."
Although Lu Erbai had been busy these past few months, he still cared about his daughter's affairs.
He had been to the farm a few times and seen how the sunflowers were growing.
Seeing the hundreds of mu of land, Lu Erbai knew that his daughter had big plans. If they delayed any longer, wouldn't all their hard work be in vain?
However, Lu Erbai didn't have much money. After opening the shop, buying materials, and paying the workers, he didn't have much left.
Fortunately, Shu Yu had saved up some money at home for emergencies, so they didn't need to worry about the funds for buying the land.
Therefore, Lu Erbai's large orders were only scheduled to be taken after half a month, but they could still handle some smaller orders in the meantime.
Shu Yu pursed her lips and said, "Thank you, Father."
"Don't be so polite with me," Lu Erbai patted her shoulder. "Whenever you buy the land, I can start working on the workshop."
"It's still early. I'm going out of the city now to confirm the location for the workshop."
"Isn't it a bit rushed? You can do it tomorrow."
"It's okay. The sooner we get it done, the sooner we can be at ease."
Lu Erbai didn't stop her any further, and Shu Yu took a sip of the tea that Fang Cong brought over before walking out of the shop.
As soon as she stepped out, she bumped into Zhao Xi.
She looked at Zhao Xi and then at the old doctor Zhao beside him. "You... What are you doing here?"
"We're looking for a house," Zhao Xi replied.
They were about to get married, and he couldn't possibly continue living in the large house on Fenghuai Street after the wedding.
Yesterday, Zhao Xi and his master discussed the matter. They didn't really mind where they lived, but since Shu Yu's shop was in Jiangyuan County and she couldn't leave, they decided to find a house here as well.
Old doctor Zhao, who was used to traveling and practicing medicine, Zhao Xi mainly wanted the house for himself and his wife.
Zhao Xi intended to buy a house with at least two courtyards, preferably close to Yiren Pavilion.
After considering their options, they heard about this place and came here.
Surprisingly, this location was quite close to Lu Erbai's shop.
Old doctor Zhao immediately stopped and said, "I'll go talk to Mr. Lu about the wedding arrangements. Have a cup of tea, and you can go with the agent to check out a few places. Let's finalize the decision with Ah Yu later."
After speaking, Old doctor Zhao went straight into the shop, looking like he was tired and reluctant to move.
Zhao Xi, "...", He really was unreliable.
He turned to Shu Yu and smiled, "How about you accompany me to check it out? Your taste is always good."
"You're quite skilled at picking the right person."
