While Ying Xi was feeling troubled, Shu Yu came up with an idea, "Since there are good days both half a month and a month later, why don't you come back with me first, and then you and your brother can come together? Relocating your mother's grave will make her happy, and with your brother present, it will be even better."
Ying Xi was taken aback and looked at Shu Yu with surprise, "Miss, you..."
"It's decided then. After you finish your business in Tianning County, Uncle Meng and the others will be almost back as well. You can travel back to Jiangyuan County together."
Ying Xi pursed her lips, "But if that's the case, Miss will be left alone."
"It's alright. We have many people at home, and they can lend a hand if anything happens. Besides, I won't encounter any danger in Jiangyuan County."
The decision was made. It was getting late, so the group quickly left the city and headed straight for Tianning County.
The next day, they had to leave.
Yan Bo had fully recovered, and Meng Pei asked the owner of the restaurant across the street to take good care of him. Then, he carried the urn with Song Xin's ashes and returned to their hometown with Meng Yunzheng.
Shu Yu and Zhao Xi, along with the others, bid them farewell. They left in the early afternoon and spent several days traveling back to Dong'an Prefecture.
When they were about to pass by the Sunflower estate, Shu Yu suddenly called for a stop.
Zhao Xi was a bit puzzled, "Why are we stopping here? We should hurry up, the closer we get to Jiangyuan County, the more anxious I am to see my fiancée."
He didn't quite understand why Shu Yu would stop here.
Suppressing the urge to roll her eyes, Shu Yu said, "I want to go up to the estate and take a look. How about you?"
"I won't go," Zhao Xi replied without hesitation, "We've been out for several months, and your sister must be very worried."
Shu Yu, "...She's the only one worried?"
"Alright, then you guys go back to the county and let my sister know. Tell her we'll be back later." She emphasized the word "sister" with a teasing tone.
Zhao Xi chuckled and nodded repeatedly, "Okay, okay."
Shu Yu then turned to little Song Le, "Do you want to go back to the county with doctor Zhao and the others first?"
Song Le pursed his lips but didn't say anything. Instead, he reached out and grabbed her clothes tightly.
Alright, no need to say anything more. This little child wants to stay with her.
Shu Yu bid farewell to Zhao Xi and old doctor Zhao, watching their carriage grow distant. Then, she patted Song Le's head, "Let's go and see our estate. It's a pity we came back too late; if we had returned a month earlier, we might have seen golden sunflowers."
Song Le looked up with a puzzled expression; he didn't know what sunflowers were.
Shu Yu smiled, "You'll know in a few months. I'll bring you here to see them then."
With that, she lifted the carriage curtain and looked outside. As the carriage moved forward, the sight of the hundred mu field came into view.
