Shu Yu nodded, "Yes."
After some thought, she cautiously added, "And your former shopkeeper, is the one who was sent by Gong Qiu to spy on the Meng family in Tianning County, won't be coming back."
The waiter gasped in shock, almost tumbling down the stairs.
Luckily, San Lai Zi and his group were there to support him, keeping him steady.
Shu Yu chuckled, "The shopkeeper won't be returning. Shouldn't you be happy?"
The his expression was somewhat uncontrollable, "Yes, of course, I'm happy." He had just been taken aback.
Shu Yu shook her head, then turned and saw Meng Pei and Meng Yunzheng coming out from the crowd.
After exchanging some greetings with the neighbors, they said they would talk later and left for the inn where they were staying.
Once they were settled, Meng Pei returned to the escort agency.
The next day, when Shu Yu and the others went to the escort agency, they found that Yan Bo had already recovered well.
Perhaps due to his originally good physical condition, combined with Zhao Xi's excellent medical skills, apart from feeling a little weak, Yan Bo didn't experience any other discomfort.
When Shu Yu arrived, Meng Pei was discussing something with Yan Bo.
"...Yun'er and I are going to take Xin'er's ashes back to the old Meng family house and give her a proper burial. We will leave in the next two days. Brother Yan, do you want to come with us?" Meng Pei asked.
Yan Bo shook his head, "You said you wanted to repair the building here. Since both of you don't have time, I'll take care of it. I'll definitely restore the building exactly as it was before."
Besides, he had been in Tianning County for so many years. Even though he acted like a mad beggar, he knew everything about the county and could easily find craftsmen and laborers.
After thinking for a moment, Meng Pei nodded, "Alright."
The matter was settled, and Yan Bo decided to stay in Tianning County.
Meng Pei and Meng Yunzheng went back to their hometown to bury Song Xin.
As for Shu Yu and the others, it was time to part ways; they had to hurry back to Jiangyuan County.
After being away from home for several months, Zhao Xi's and Shu You's wedding was approaching.
Old master Zhao hadn't met his future daughter-in-law yet, and Zhao Xi needed to handle the wedding preparations quickly. They couldn't afford to travel to other places right now.
Initially, when Shu Yu went to the capital, she was worried about Meng Yunzheng. But now that everything was settled, many things were waiting for her to deal with in Jiangyuan County.
In the span of a little over three months, the first batch of sunflowers had reached maturity.
However...
Before leaving, there was one more thing to take care of.
The next morning, Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng went to San Lai Zi's home and had him lead them to the Yuelai Inn in Huajiang Prefecture, where they would meet the person who wanted to take over the Meng family's escort agency.
San Lai Zi was accompanied by another companion, and when they arrived in the county town, they separated from Shu Yu's group.
The two groups entered YueLai Inn, one after the other.
San Lai Zi had made an appointment with the person at Si hour (1-3 PM). It was still before the lunchtime rush, and while there were a few people in the lobby, it wasn't crowded.
Shu Yu and Meng Yun Zhe found a table in the corner, ordered a pot of tea and some snacks, and waited while talking.
However, they waited for quite a while, and the appointed time had passed, but the person they were expecting still hadn't shown up. Half an hour had gone by, and there was no sign of him.
San Lai Zi was getting anxious and asked his companion to check at the door.
However, after his companion came back and forth several times, there was no news.
