At the dock, there was an official ship moored not far from the large ship they were on. Several soldiers were guarding the ship, and there were several carriages on the shore. At the moment, several people were getting off the carriages and preparing to board the ship.
Among the group were men and women, and when Shu Yu glanced over them, she suddenly froze.
Isn't that Master Wan?
Unexpectedly, when she went to the capital, she ran into Master Wan once in the backyard of the Shangyang Prefecture inn. Now that she was returning from the capital, she saw Master Wan again.
The two of them were heading in completely opposite directions. Master Wan was now preparing to return to the capital.
It's quite a coincidence.
Shu Yu kept her distance and listened to the people around her discussing the situation. Occasionally, she would glance at Gouwa, who was fully absorbed in his eating.
Children were very serious about eating, and Gouwa was no exception. He was meticulous, making sure not a single crumb dropped onto the table.
After he had eaten most of the food, Shu Yu lowered her head and pushed the bowl of soup in front of him. "Slow down and drink some soup, don't choke."
Gouwa obediently put down the bun and started drinking the soup.
Unbeknownst to Shu Yu, when she lowered her head, Master Wan, who was just about to board the official ship, looked up and glanced in her direction before continuing on his way.
In their room, just as Master Wan was about to take off his cloak, a pair of hands reached out from behind him.
"Master, let me help."
The owner of the hands was a woman wearing a hat. As soon as she entered the room, she removed her hat and quickly came over to help him.
Master Wan turned his head and smiled, "No need, we've been on the road for so long, you should take a break. Is Xiao Qing settled in?"
The woman took off his cloak and hung it on the side. She smiled and nodded, "She's settled. The maidservant you bought for her is honest and takes good care of her. You don't need to worry."
"That's good." Master Wan walked over to the shelf and washed his face.
The woman walked to the front and opened the window. From this angle, she could see the nearby large ship.
Master Wan also walked over and followed her line of sight, just in time to see Meng Pei carrying the urn of ashes down from the deck.
He didn't recognize that person, so Master Wan quickly retracted his gaze and said to the woman, "I wonder if you might get seasick. If you feel uncomfortable later, you can find the doctor on the ship and get some medicine."
"I know, Master. Don't worry."
"In that case, rest first. I'll go out for a while and see what's happening on the ship."
With his hands behind his back, Master Wan left the room, inquiring about the guards' arrangements. He waited until the official ship set sail before returning.
Upon entering the room, he saw the woman still standing by the window, watching the scenery recede on the shore. He couldn't help but ask, "What are you thinking about? So engrossed?"
The woman returned to her senses and quickly got up to serve him a bowl of soup. "I cooked this for you just now. It's still warm. Master, please try it."
After Master Wan took a few sips, the woman finally answered his previous question, "I was thinking about how long it will take for us to reach the capital. I wonder if Shu Yu is also in the capital at the moment."
Master Wan pondered for a moment, "I ran into her at Shangyang Prefecture last time. If her destination is really the capital, then you might indeed run into her."
***I have Premonition whose the woman might be and I am right she is hehehe and it made me excited to the point that I couldn't help but to express my thoughts hahaha, please excuse me😅
