Yao An's face turned red, and he instinctively wanted to retaliate, but then he remembered the person in front of him and immediately suppressed his anger.
He started to argue, "Uncle, what are you doing? Why are you hitting me for no reason?"
"Don't act innocent," Yao Bo stepped forward, coldly sneering, "The maid has confessed everything. You bought the drug this afternoon, intending to drug Shu Yu. You know her background and want to marry her, so you thought you would settle the matter before everything was clear. Shu Yu might have had stomach discomfort tonight because of the drug, but you didn't expect her to take an antidote and escape. The tea you prepared for her was laced with poison, but it didn't work."
As he finished speaking, Yao Bo kicked Yao An out.
"I don't have a cousin like you, a shameless, despicable, and unscrupulous person."
Yao An fell to the ground and couldn't get up.
Yao Hong rushed over to help him up and scolded them, "You're talking nonsense! That maid is deliberately framing my brother. You have no evidence to wrongly accuse him, and yet you dare to hit him. Why is that?"
"You want evidence? Alright, I'll show it to you."
Yao Bo began to expose everything step by step.
Yao An's plan was not comprehensive enough, and finding evidence against him was not difficult for Yao Bo.
He asked Zhao Xi to examine the drug powder in both his and Shu Yu's rooms to see if they were the same.
The drug powder on Yao Bo's side was confirmed, but when Zhao Xi went to Shu Yu's room, the tea had already been replaced.
Clearly, Yao An had gone to Shu Yu's room earlier and destroyed the evidence.
However, it didn't matter because Shu Yu had left some in a porcelain bottle in advance.
Yao An couldn't have imagined that even when she was feeling unwell, she would think of leaving evidence behind.
Zhao Xi confirmed that the drugs in both rooms were the same, and Wang Jiayi's maid confessed that she had stolen the drugs from Yao Hong's room.
Yao Bo then searched Yao Hong's room and found the remaining drug powder.
Next, they began to interrogate Yao Hong. She was arrogant and impulsive, making it easy for Yao Bo to extract all the information from her.
They found the maid who had tampered the tea from Yao Hong.
Shu Yu and Ying Xi identified her as the one who had come to replace the tea.
With both testimonies and physical evidence, Yao An couldn't deny it anymore.
Yao Tianqing directly had Yao An tied up and brought to the main hall in the front yard. He sat in the main seat, his face ice-cold as he looked down at the bound person below.
Yao Tianqing took a deep breath and said, "Yao An, you've truly disappointed me. I used to think your father was indifferent and opportunistic, and I disdained dealing with him. However, you're a younger generation, and when I was exiled, you were still young and couldn't influence your father's actions. I didn't hold anything against you. But now, it seems I've been too lenient. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You've turned out to be just like your father."
Yao An struggled a bit, but Yao Bo's binding was too tight, making it difficult for him to breathe.
Yao Tianqing ignored his movements and continued, "Your actions have brought shame upon the Yao family and disgraced our ancestors. As your elder, and since you are living in my house, I have the right to correct your mistakes. Bo, administer the family law."
