Shu Yu entered the shop and realized that it was just a gimmick. The shop claimed to sell exotic goods, but the actual imported items only occupied a small corner.
After looking at the items in the small corner, Shu Yu didn't find them particularly valuable, though they were rare in the Da Su Dynasty. Items like snuff bottles and glassware didn't pique her interest.
She asked about the prices, but they were indeed quite expensive, and she couldn't find anything worth buying for her reference.
She then visited the market and grocery stores. After a long day of wandering, she returned home exhausted in the evening.
However, only Zhao Xi and Zhao's master had returned, and the Meng father and son hadn't come back yet.
Shu Yu was a bit surprised since they had left early in the morning, and it seemed like it had been a while.
They had dinner, which was cooked by master Zhao, who was back early. He had prepared medicinal food for each person, tailored to their specific health conditions, showing his considerable effort.
When the medicinal food was ready, Meng Yunzheng and his father finally returned.
Seeing Meng Pei's red eyes and lack of spirit, Shu Yu couldn't help but glance at Meng Yunzheng.
Meng Yunzheng shook his head in response, whispering as they walked, "We came back this afternoon, and my father wanted to move my mother's remains. So after returning to the city, we immediately went to find someone to arrange the date for the exhumation."
Shu Yu asked, "When is the date?"
"Three days from now."
Indeed, it was quite soon.
"Where are you moving her remains to?"
Meng Yunzheng whispered, "To the ancestral grave of the Meng family."
Meng Pei's intention was to give Song Xin a dignified status as the legitimate wife of the Meng family. He wanted her to rest in peace rather than be buried as a concubine, unable to have a legitimate status or be buried in the family's ancestral grave, like a lonely and wandering ghost.
Shu Yu nodded and didn't inquire further. Meng Pei and Song Xin had been married for ten years, and he was the person who understood her best.
In three days, they would start the relocation, and once they began, they would immediately leave the capital.
Therefore, Shu Yu's time was running out, and the next day she went to the west side of the city to shop again.
When the third day arrived, she prepared to bid farewell to the people she knew.
She first went to the Yao family. Madam Yao had planned to invite her out for shopping and to buy her some new clothes in a few days.
Unexpectedly, Shu Yu was leaving so soon, and the timing was so hasty.
Madam Yao tried to persuade her to stay longer, but Shu Yu declined.
In the end, Madam Yao could only give her some fabrics that were originally prepared for her.
Shu Yu was helpless; she had already taken many things last time, and now she was taking more?
She almost fled from there.
Next, she went to bid farewell to the Jing family. Minister Jing and Madam Jing had already prepared for this.
They knew that Meng Yunzheng was leaving the capital, and it was going to happen soon. Once he left, Shu Yu would naturally leave as well.
So, Madam Jing also gave her the things she had prepared earlier, asking her to take care and come visit them when she had the chance.
Finally, Shu Yu went to the Qi family.
She didn't enter their mansion last time but went in this time.
However, it was already late, and Shu Yu didn't plan to stay long. She met Qi Chan and later Madam Qi, who came over upon hearing the news.
Qi Chan was also well-prepared. He didn't say much and simply asked her to take care on her journey before seeing her off from the mansion gate.
