The night was clear, and the moonlight illuminated the path ahead.
Despite Shu Yu and Ying Xi not being familiar with the layout of the Yao family's back courtyard, they managed to follow Wang Jiayi closely.
Wang Jiayi seemed quite nervous and occasionally stumbled, but she restrained herself from making any noise.
As expected, Wang Jiayi arrived at Yao Bo and his wife's courtyard.
Once outside the courtyard, she sighed in relief and found a corner to hide, crouching down to conceal her presence.
Ying Xi furrowed her eyebrows, "What is she doing there?"
Shu Yu pondered for a moment, as if having a sudden realization.
After a short wait, Wang Jiayi remained motionless. Ying Xi found it baffling, "Miss, what is Wang Jiayi doing here?"
She came to Yao Bo's courtyard entrance and hid in a corner. Is she trying to be a statue?
"Yao An drugged me late at night, so would it be reasonable to think that Wang Jiayi is here to do the same?" Shu Yu said, "But I don't see any intention from her to act."
"Wait, you said drugging?" A flash of insight crossed Shu Yu's mind, and she looked at Wang Jiayi.
At that moment, Wang Jiayi also peeked out from the corner, looking somewhat anxious towards a nearby direction.
This appearance made Shu Yu's speculations more certain.
"Wang Jiayi wants to become Yao Bo's legal wife, but she never had the chance. So, what do you think would happen if Yao An drugged me?" Shu Yu asked Ying Xi.
Ying Xi considered Yao An's elaborate plan. He had gone to great lengths to orchestrate this to make Shu Yu marry him.
Then, it must be that Yao An wanted to catch them in a compromising situation, turning it into an irrevocable fact, leaving no chance for Shu Yu to back out.
Therefore, Ying Xi replied, "The result would be a big scandal tonight, and everyone would see Yao An in your room."
"Exactly. Everyone would rush to my courtyard, including Yao Bo and his wife, who are the hosts. Once they leave, there won't be many people left in this courtyard. That's when it would be the best opportunity for Wang Jiayi."
Yingsi widened her eyes, "Does she think that if she has a relationship with Young Master Yao, she can become his legal wife? The Young madam is still here, even pregnant. Even if the Yao family has to take responsibility, at most they would just accept her as a concubine."
Shu Yu sneered, "It seems that the news of Yao Bo's wife's pregnancy has put tremendous pressure on her, making her feel extremely urgent."
And today, Yao Bo was at home, and she had the medicine in her hand.
If Yao An's plan succeeded today, the Yao family would definitely be on high alert and might even send Yao An and Yao Hong, along with Wang Jiayi, out of the mansion, leaving her no more chances.
Moreover, the drug Wang Jiayi used wouldn't work on Yao Bo's pregnant wife.
And she was conveniently outside the courtyard. If she pretended to hear some commotion and rushed over, she could take advantage of the situation.
Perhaps even Yao Bo's wife might suffer from a miscarriage due to this, leaving no chance of keeping the child.
Wouldn't this be killing two birds with one stone?
Thinking of Wang Jiayi's possible malicious intentions, Shu Yu couldn't help but sneer.
Perfect! Since they all came looking for her today, it was the perfect opportunity to deal with these disgusting people.
Shu Yu said to Yingsi, "You quietly sneak into the courtyard from the left side, find Yao Bo, and tell him about what's happening here. Then..."
