When Shu Yu returned home at this hour, the old lady was a bit surprised, but Shu Yu had already started packing her things.
In the evening, when everyone was back home, she talked about her plan to go to the capital.
"You're going to the capital?" The people of the Lu family were shocked.
Shu Yu didn't hide her intentions this time to avoid worrying her family. She nodded, "I'm worried about Yunzheng, and I can't focus on my work after he leaves. Now that things at home are stable, I plan to go to the capital and have a look. Besides, I want to understand the market in the capital. In the future, I'll need to expand the planting of sunflowers, and I'll need to sell the oil and other products there. Jiangyuan County is too small, and I'm afraid there won't be many buyers willing to pay higher prices. But in the capital, there are many influential people and more individuals willing to try new things."
She stated these reasons, but the old lady knew that she had found an excuse. In reality, Shu Yu was mainly concerned about Meng Yunzheng.
Otherwise, if she wanted to sell something, Jiangyuan County was not the only option. Dong'an Prefecture was also suitable.
Shu Yu had the ability, and she had the support of people like minister Yao and minister Qi in the capital, which made the old lady feel relieved.
The Lu family members were not aware of the relationship between Meng Yunzheng and the Gong family, nor were they aware of his involvement in the matter of seizing the throne. They assumed he had important matters to attend to, at most thinking he was going to return to seize the family property.
So, when Shu Yu said she wanted to go to the capital, the Lu family members looked at each other but did not object.
On the other hand, Shu Yu's sister, Shu You, lifted her head, wanting to speak but hesitated.
She also wanted to go, but the store had just stabilized, and she couldn't leave. Moreover, she was not as clever and capable as Shu Yu. Unlike the previous time when Shu Yu was exiled, she was afraid that she would only be a burden if she went with her.
Shu Yu knew what she was thinking and held her hand, saying, "Sister, rest assured. When we arrive in the capital, I will keep an eye on Zhao Xi and make sure he doesn't flirt with other girls."
Shu You chuckled, "Ha, Big Brother Zhao isn't that kind of person."
"Are you speaking up for him?"
Shu You glared at her and then took a deep breath, holding her hand, "Then take good care of yourself on the way."
"Don't worry, will I let myself suffer?"
The matter was settled. Shuyu finished explaining everything in Jiangyuan County and set out the next morning with Ying Xi.
She went to the county yamen and informed Xiang Weinan.
Xiang Weinan didn't show any surprise on his face. "Sure, if you want to go, then go. You also know people in the capital, so I'm not worried."
After a pause, he handed her an iron token, "If you need anything, go to Xiang manor and find someone. If not, just return the token when you come back."
Xiang Weinan's family was in the capital. He came to Jiangyuan County to gain experience and accumulate merits to get promoted. He was also investigating the affairs of the Shu family of Dong'an Prefecture. Now that the Shu family had been exiled, Xiang Weinan might be transferred back to the capital at any time.
She accepted the iron token and said, "Thank you."
Xiang Weinan waved his hand, telling her to take care on her journey.
Shu Yu said her goodbyes and left with Ying Xi, heading straight to the farm.
