Lu Erbai nodded slowly, and Shu Yu suddenly felt a warm feeling in her heart.
The Old Lady was right. Shu Yu hadn't celebrated her birthday in many years.
Not only in the Shu family of Dong'an Mansion, but also in modern times.
When her parents were still alive, even if they were busy, they would always make time to buy her a birthday cake and sing her a birthday song.
But after they had their accident, Shu Yu never celebrated her birthday again. Celebrating alone wasn't fun, and it would only make her feel miserable when she was reminded of those times.
Now as she slowly recalled, it seemed that her lunar birthday in modern times was also in two days.
Surprisingly, it was the same day.
With loved ones around her now, and her parents living a peaceful life with Little Shu Yu in modern times, she suddenly had a lot of expectations for her birthday.
Both hands tightly held, Shu Yu smiled at her grandmother and Ruan Shi. "Then let's combine the housewarming banquet with my coming-of-age ceremony, bringing double joy."
"Yes, double joy."
That evening, the Lu family gathered together and set up three tables in the courtyard, adding liveliness to the new house. Afterwards, they all rested in the large mansion.
It was the first night they stayed in the new house, and not just Shu Yu, but even the others felt a mixture of excitement and unfamiliarity.
Each branch of the Lu family had their own separate courtyard. Shu Yu's courtyard was named "Yu Garden," simple and easy to remember, clearly indicating who lived there.
Shu Yu was satisfied with Yu Garden, and she had personally chosen the decorations inside.
She had asked Lu Erbai to help make a set of sofas, two single-seaters and one three-seater, placed in the outer room for guests.
In addition to a bed, the inner room also had a wardrobe and a dressing table. The wardrobe was large, almost taking up an entire wall.
When Lan Hua saw it during the day, she was ecstatic. She even said that when she earned money in the future, she would ask Uncle Erbai to help make her a wardrobe that big too.
It wasn't just her, even Liang Shi wanted one.
The third branch's house had been purchased, but they hadn't moved in yet.
Firstly, although there weren't any major issues with the house, some areas still needed repairs.
Secondly, they hadn't reached the end of their lease on their current rented house. They had already paid the rent, and the landlord wouldn't refund it. If they moved out now, they would be at a loss.
Since they hadn't moved in yet, they might as well make a wardrobe as big as Shu Yu's.
Even though Liang Shi didn't have many clothes.
But women just loved it.
Lu Erbai agreed, and Liang Shi was satisfied. She went back to her room to rest.
The next day, apart from Lu Sanzhu and Yuan Shanchuan who had to return to work, everyone else stayed in the mansion.
In two days, it would be Shu Yu's coming-of-age ceremony, and there were many things to prepare. They were all here to help.
Everyone had something to do, but surprisingly, Shu Yu herself didn't know what to do for a moment.
Except... trying on clothes.
Ruan Shi had made her a brand new outfit in advance. Over these two days, Tian Qin had helped embroider beautiful patterns on it, so she brought it over for Shu Yu to try on.
The clothes fit well and looked good, but Ruan Shi wasn't quite satisfied. She pulled Shu Yu back to the room, muttering to herself, and went to make some modifications.
Since Shu Yu couldn't be of any help, she decided to go out and take a look at the shop.
But as soon as she arrived at Ning Shui Street, a carriage passed by her, and her good friend was sitting inside.
However, Ding Yuehua's face looked tense and unpleasant.
She also saw Shu Yu and was momentarily stunned. She forced a smile and said, "Ah Yu, I was just about to find you."
