Ding Yuehua nodded repeatedly. "Thank you, Ah Yu."
Once they split the family, she would personally go to Donggu County and pick two excellent horses to send to Ah Yu as a gift.
No, no, that wouldn't be enough. That would only be a coming-of-age gift.
There would still be gratitude gifts and compensation. Those couldn't be lacking.
Shu Yu and Ding Yuehua exchanged a glance and then walked toward the house.
The house had been relatively quiet, but as soon as they entered, chaos broke out again.
They were truly bustling around, as if they were genuinely concerned about Mei Shi's condition. One person hurried to check why the doctor hadn't arrived yet, another rushed to open the windows for ventilation, and yet another said they would fetch water to wipe the First young Madam's face.
Two maidservants were quietly sobbing on the side, as if Mei Shi had already passed away, mourning her loss.
Madam Fan was also anxiously calling out to her. When she saw Shu Yu and Ding Yuehua enter, she even had a look as if she was about to faint herself, completely ignoring the two of them.
But what use was it for her to act like she hadn't seen anything? Shu Yu and Ding Yuehua stood directly in front of her.
"Mother, now that Elder Sister-in-law has fainted, we need you to make a decision."
Madam Fan couldn't pretend anymore and could only raise her head defiantly. "Make a decision? What decision can I make? I didn't do anything, and I know nothing. If you have something to say, wait until she wakes up."
After saying that, she stood up and held her forehead, sighing, "I have a headache and can't even catch my breath. Stay away from me."
Ding Yuehua had no choice but to take a step back and then looked at Shu Yu.
Shu Yu sighed. "Yuehua, even though we're friends, those blueprints were the painstaking effort of minister Yao. He worked tirelessly on them. Now that your sister-in-law has destroyed them, she should at least give me an explanation. Otherwise, I can't bear this responsibility."
"Lady Lu, please calm down first. Rest assured, I will give you an explanation."
Shu Yu raised an eyebrow. "What kind of explanation?"
"The blueprints were destroyed by Elder Sister-in-law. When she wakes up, she should apologize and compensate." A voice suddenly sounded from the entrance.
Shu Yu turned her head in surprise and saw a slim figure standing at the door.
Wasn't this the Third Young Master Fan from the Fan family?
Third young master Fan seemed to have rushed back, his breath not yet steady, with sweat on his forehead.
Madam Fan was taken aback. Her dizziness seemed to have disappeared now. She hurriedly ran forward and sobbed to him, "Third son, you're back. Mother is nearly being driven to death by your wife. She..."
"Mother, I already know what happened. I personally brought those blueprints to the kiln, and I personally instructed Xiao Qi to make them. Now that Elder Sister-in-law deliberately destroyed them, she must take responsibility for this matter. When she wakes up, we'll see how much compensation she needs to provide."
He turned around and faced Shu Yu, cupping his hand in a salute. "Lady Lu, this is our Fan family's mistake. I apologize. Please let me know what compensation you require. We won't shirk our responsibility."
Shu Yu had a good impression of him. "It's good that Third Young Master Fan takes responsibility. Rest assured, I won't ask for too much. Considering Minister Yao's current status, his blueprints are undoubtedly priceless. Moreover, the things on my blueprints were intended for the renovation of the house that the Emperor rewarded me. Minister Yao gave me a deadline, and as soon as the renovation is complete, I should move in as soon as possible."
She shook her head and sighed, "Now that the blueprints are destroyed, the items cannot be made, and the subsequent construction of the house will be affected. I have also suffered significant losses."
