Regarding their own affairs, Shu Yu definitely couldn't sit still.
She immediately wanted to go and take a look. Kong Zhiyou hesitated for a moment and quickly grabbed her, "Lu Xiang Jun, this is an internal matter of the Fan family. We shouldn't meddle in it."
No, this was not just the Fan family's matter. If the drawings were really related to her, she had to go and see.
"Yuehua might be in trouble. I'll go and take a look and come back."
Unable to wait, Shu Yu pulled her hand back and followed them out, with Ying Xi following right behind.
Kong Zhiyou could only watch her figure and stomped her foot. "Why did she really go?"
She took a few steps outside, but then stopped and sat back in her original seat, waiting.
In Xilan Garden, there were only her, her maid Qiuju, and a few maidservants guarding the entrance.
With no outsiders around, Qiuju couldn't help but whisper, "Miss, why is Lu Xiang Jun so careless? How can she go to see someone's misfortune in their household when she knows about it?"
Kong Zhiyou glared at her. "Don't talk nonsense." Then she sighed, "You should also understand her. Lu Xiang Jun was a country girl before. You know what it's like in the countryside. Wherever there's something interesting happening, all those busybodies gather around, eager to see someone's misfortune. How can there be any rules? She's just not used to it. Now that she's become a Xiang Jun, her status is different. The people around her are friends like us, and she will naturally change with more interactions."
After speaking, she warned Qiuju again, "Don't say anything improper in the future. I relied on her help a lot back then, and I genuinely wanted to befriend her. If she encounters any rules she doesn't understand next time, I'll stop her and advise her. Lu Xiang Jun is intelligent and will quickly understand."
Qiuju pursed her lips and didn't say much.
She just felt that after spending this much time together today, it seemed like Miss had been consciously or unconsciously trying to get closer to Lu Xiang Jun.
But Lu Xiang Jun didn't respond with any enthusiasm. She even seemed indifferent to the maid named Ying Xi who accompanied her.
She asked two questions, and Ying Xi answered two questions, but she didn't initiate any conversation with her.
What was so great about her? Did she think she could soar just by becoming a Xiang Jun? Their master would pass the county examination in two years, and he would definitely succeed. Then he could even pursue an official position, and their Miss would become an official's wife. That was a much higher status than being a Xiang Jun in a small place.
Kong Zhiyou had no idea what was going through her servant's mind. Sitting alone in the hall was really boring.
Thinking that Ding Yuehua was probably going to confront the eldest young madam of the Fan family directly, it wouldn't be resolved quickly.
She couldn't just keep waiting here to see the result, right? That would be impolite.
So Kong Zhiyou sat for a while longer, but when she didn't see Ding Yuehua and Shu Yu returning, she got up to take her leave.
When she reached the entrance of Xilan Garden, she glanced towards the main house, but couldn't hear anything. She shook her head and left the Fan family.
However, Shu Yu had already followed Ding Yuehua closely, and they both entered the Beiqing Courtyard where the Fan family's main house was located.
There was still a maid guarding the entrance, but when Ding Yuehua rushed in just now, the maid hurriedly followed.
This made it convenient for Shu Yu. With no one watching outside, she lifted her footsteps and followed them into the courtyard.
