Several people were sitting in the main hall, chatting while waiting for Xiaoyun to return.
Although Ding Yuehua was friends with Shu Yu and Kong Zhiyou, and she had known Kong Zhiyou for a longer time, she preferred to talk to Shu Yu about some of the troubles at home.
So the three of them were chatting about clothes, jewelry, and grooming. Kong Zhiyou took the opportunity to ask Shu Yu about the suitable makeup for herself. She wanted to know what she should pay attention to if she only had the maidservants do her daily makeup.
Just as Shu Yu spoke a few words, Kong Zhiyou listened attentively, and suddenly a panicked voice came from outside.
Ding Yuehua stood up abruptly, took a few steps forward, and scolded, frowning, "Why are you so flustered? Don't you have any manners?"
The maid outside served in Xilan Garden and didn't see Shu Yu and the others inside, so she didn't know that the Third Young Madam had guests. She hurriedly said, "Third Young Madam, something bad has happened. The Eldest Young Madam said she wants to harm Xiaoyun."
Ding Yuehua's face suddenly changed. "What did you say? Isn't Xiaoyun out of the house?"
Shu Yu and the others in the room heard the words and quickly walked out as well.
The maid outside had already finished speaking in a hurry. "I... I don't know about this. I only heard Xiaoyun mention that the Eldest Young Madam destroyed some important drawings and they had a conflict."
"What drawings? Draw..." Ding Yuehua paused and suddenly realized something, instinctively glancing at Shu Yu.
But she quickly averted her gaze and walked down the steps with a stern face.
She turned her head and said to Shu Yu and the others, "I have something to take care of. Please wait for me."
After speaking, she hurried to rescue Xiaoyun.
Kong Zhiyou was worried. "Will Yuehua be okay?"
Thinking of the glance Ding Yuehua gave her, Shu Yu furrowed her brows. Could it be that the drawings were related to her? Otherwise, why would Ding Yuehua look at her?
After thinking for a moment, she quickly understood. It was likely that the drawings were indeed hers.
Their mansion was currently undergoing renovations, and Shu Yu had some ideas, such as the toilet.
If Shu Yu had to pinpoint the biggest dissatisfaction with the house right now, it would be the pit latrine. Every time she used it, she felt like she was about to pass out from the smell.
The plumbing and drainage system in their mansion was well-designed, so her plan to dig a septic tank was feasible.
During the discussion with Lu Erbai, Shu Yu added this idea. Lu Erbai didn't understand at first, but after understanding, he nodded repeatedly and went back to organize the routes and possibilities. He quickly gave a response.
Shu Yu was happy. Installing a flush toilet was something she didn't need to think about. The structure inside it was somewhat complicated, with things like a floating ball and water inlet pipe that she hadn't studied and didn't know how to make.
But placing a water tank above the squatting pit and directly pulling a rope to flush could be easily done by her.
So the next day, she drew a design of the squatting pit and handed it to Lu Erbai.
However, it wasn't possible to use wood for the squatting pit. Modern toilets were made of porcelain, right? It was more sanitary, convenient, and clean.
Shu Yu handed the design to Lu Erbai and asked him to have a few made when he had time.
The Fan family was in the porcelain business, but Shu Yu was too busy these days and had been running around outside. So she simply let her father take charge of everything.
She thought that her father, who had been a carpenter for so long, probably knew a few families who were good at making ceramics and had a good relationship with them. It shouldn't be a problem.
Looking at the current situation, did her father go to the Fan family?
