After Shu Yu's explanation, the old lady indeed felt much better. She observed Hua Xian, and the young girl seemed well-behaved and easy to get along with.
"Well, that's fine then."
She had to maintain her composure and not appear inexperienced and timid, embarrassing Shu Yu.
Shu Yu smiled. "Grandmother, although Hua Xian is skilled in back massage and clearing meridians, I haven't seen her work personally. I'll have San Ya fetch Zhao Xi to be present and supervise. If anything is done incorrectly, he can correct it in time."
Zhao Xi was a doctor and more knowledgeable about acupressure. However, he was busy and a man. Now that they had Hua Xian, grandmother's needs could be taken care of more conveniently.
San Ya was already in the courtyard, curiously observing Hua Xian. Upon hearing Shu Yu's words, she quickly said, "I'll go call Brother Zhao."
Da Ya, upon hearing that Zhao Xi was coming, quickly said, "Grandmother, Shu Yu, I'll go to the tailoring shop. It's been busy there lately, and I'll go help."
After saying that, she bowed her head and followed San Ya out of the door.
Shu Yu and the old lady exchanged glances and shook their heads, amused.
In a short while, Zhao Xi arrived. He had heard the details from San Ya on the way, so he nodded and allowed Hua Xian to give it a try.
Hua Xian became nervous, but the old lady noticed and reassured her, saying, "Girl, don't be afraid. If you make a mistake, I won't blame you. We can correct it."
"Okay, okay." Hua Xian swallowed and took a deep breath before washing her hands and returning.
The old lady was still in good spirits as she sat down on the recliner.
Lu Erbai had finished writing down the names and handed them to Shu Yu. "If you don't recognize anyone, ask your Uncle to see if they are available. If they're busy, then forget it. If they're available, recruit them."
"Okay."
Lu Erbai didn't have time to delay any longer. He informed his mother and was about to leave.
Shu Yu accompanied him. There were two mule carts at home, but one was taken by Da Niu. She had to take the other one to Shishi Village.
The cart dropped Lu Erbai off at Fenghuai Street, and Shu Yu and Ying Xi went straight to Shishi Village.
Ying Xi was young but capable. She was skilled in martial arts and driving. She was also hardworking.
In just two days, Shu Yu was already quite satisfied with her.
As they chatted, they arrived at the village. Shishi Village had been bustling these past two days, with news of Shu Yu being appointed as the village lord spreading far and wide. Even though it was the busy farming season, many people still came to Shishi Village to watch the excitement.
Unfortunately, apart from the main branch of the Lu family, who were still in the village, the others were not there. They wouldn't be able to see the appearance of the village lord.
Perhaps they felt it was hopeless, so Shishi Village was quiet today. There were not many people seen on the road.
However, when the cart entered the village, the villagers straightened their backs and widened their eyes upon seeing the familiar cart from the Lu family's return a few days ago. But when they saw an unfamiliar girl on the cart, they hesitated.
Especially when the unfamiliar girl had a blank expression, they didn't dare to ask. They could only follow behind the cart.
When the cart was about to reach Lu Dasong's doorstep, it stopped. Ying Xi whispered to Shu Yu, "Miss, the cart can't pass. Something happened ahead, and many villagers are blocking the way."
Shu Yu lifted the curtain and indeed saw a group of people standing in front of her uncle's door. They looked like they were there to watch the commotion.
