Make sure "edge detection" is checked and then adjust the "smart fill angle" bar as needed and should be able to find a sweet spot in there :)

Any tips or tricks for the painting tool? I usually don't use it much, this time it's detecting half the cats face though the edges look obvious to me.

Yee, no worries! I liked the white kitty for the 3MF but happened to have a gray one on hand that I painted lol

Ah they do need to be painted just a little. Gotcha! Wasn't sure if it was operator error on my end.

Change the main filament color for the cat and then with the full bucket tool with edge detection on you can select the white parts of the hat :)

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, can you look at the colored 3mf? I'm trying to print a grey cat like in your picture but the white cat and white of the Santa had seem to be linked. Change one, they both change.
