Before finishing what he had started, he needed one last moment to savor his victory. It was a rare accomplishment: he had managed to subdue, fully restrain, and incapacitate a soldier who was slightly bigger and stronger than him.
Without hesitation, Keith whipped out his phone, the faint glow of the screen illuminating his masked face. He struck a quick pose in front of Bryce, flashing a thumb up and a wide, triumphant grinβthough it was mostly hidden behind his mask. The moment was his, and he wasnβt going to let it slip away.
Bryce, on the other hand, was far from pleased with his situation. Fury burned in his eyes as he squirmed, desperate to show that he still had some fight left. His muscles strained as he tried to pull his arms together, the tree trunks that held him captive groaning under the pressure. For a brief moment, his arms inched closer, but soon exhaustion set in. With a grunt of frustration, Bryce had no choice but to let go, his arms snapping back apart as the tree trunks jerked them wide.
Defeated, he let out a sharp, irritated sigh, his eyes dropping to the ground. He couldnβt bear to look at the camera and be humiliated.
Keith, savoring the moment, snapped a few more pictures, snickering to himself. Then, just because he could, he casually patted Bryce on the head before walking away.
