The capture of two soldiers - 01

Grayson and Bryce are part of a sniper team which being tasked to do some recon mission to lay down the base work their squad to do an ambush on an enemy compound in the coming weeks. Their mission was not a lethal one this time. Their squad did not want the enemy to be alarmed because of any suspicious activity. The compound was not a large one, only manned by about 10-15 guys depending on the day of the week.
Grayson and Bryce had been on the lookout mission for 2 days, being isolated from the rest of their squad. The intel that they had been accumulating was crucial to the planning that their squad was finalizing. Every about 12 hours, they went to a more exposed area to be able to relay back their information back to base. The areas around the compound were pretty rocky, making the signal pretty spotty, making it unreliable for them to contact their base.
On the 3rd day, they decided to find a higher ground to be able to find additional attack points. They found a hidden area full of big boulders, that they thought was a perfect spot to do another stake out day. They set up a little camp without doing anything suspicious, because they need to be able to move at a moment's notice. The spot they thought was perfect, big boulders hiding them from easy spotting, while at the same time providing slots and holes for them to scope out the compound secretly.

Two guards from the enemy were just doing their daily patrol to protect the compound. The compound was strategically located so that they could build tunnels to have easy access to nearby areas, and to escape quickly just in case their location is compromised. Their patrol this time took them to a tunnel that would take them to a rocky outcropping at a higher ground. As they were about to reached the end of the tunnel, they heard some whispered conversation between two guys coming through some openings in the boulders. They ducked down, and trying to not make additional noises.
They couldn't quite make out what the conversation was about. But they knew that these were not their own people. They made hand gestures to each other motioning for them to walk very slowly to the opening of the tunnel which was strategically positioned so that it's not easily spotted, but easy for egress.

"I counted 14 today, 2 went on a patrol by the lake, 2 went around the perimeter, another 2 went out of view" Bryce whispered. Even though the compound is more than a mile away they're being careful not to make too much noise.
"Noted. I haven't seen the 2 guys for a good 30 minutes, we will need to figure out where they went. The rest seems to be being stupid and drinking their lives away" Grayson whispered back.
Then they both went quiet concentrating on their tasks. Little did they know what the spot they selected was near an exit of an escape tunnel of the enemy. Grayson earlier made a technical mistake by not identifying a little opening with cold air draft coming out of it. A lot of nature noises he thought would help mask any noises that they may make.

The two guards very carefully and quietly walked out of the tunnel, trying their hardest not to make even the slightest noise. They succeeded brilliantly, in just less than 5 minutes their were out of the tunnel, and walking towards the source of the conversation. Another 2 minutes of quite movement, two soldiers doing a stakeout started to come into their views completely unaware of their presence. The nature noises really help mask their movement, their boss' brilliant mind saved them by placing a speaker at the mouth of the tunnel blending in into the real sounds playing in a loop.
They walked carefully to make sure the two soldiers are completely in their full view, and that there's no surprises or additional soldiers out of view. Happy that the two unsuspecting soldiers were all they could see. They made hand gestures, splitting the ambush, one responsible for the soldier on the ground, and another for the soldier standing.

Grayson was totally concentrating standing up, pointing the scope of his sniper riffle to different areas of the compound. He's trying to concentrate, but the nature sounds were sometimes distracting him from his task. He even started to wonder if there was a pattern on the sounds, since he started noticing that it kinda repeated itself after about 10 minutes. But whatever he thought, it's just his mind playing tricks on him.
His legs were starting to get tired from his position. 5 more minutes he thought then he would switch positions with Bryce.
As he was adjusting his posture a bit, he could sworn that he heard a sound leaves behind crunched, he quickly looked to his right, but he saw nothing then focused on his scope again.
Another minute went by, then he heard some noises again but louder this time, he was about to turn around and look, but two commanding voices sternly came out from behind him.
"Don't fucking move" One voice said. "Stay exactly where you are, don't turn around" another said
Grayson and Bryce totally were caught of guard, they have become a little complacent with their experience. Bryce naturally wanted to turn around and look back at the source of the voices. But after just turning his head a bit......
"I said don't fucking turn around, eyes forward" the voice said
"Hands off your rifles, put them up"
Grayson and Bryce thought about fighting back, but not knowing the enemy's weapons or situation, it would take too much time to turn their rifles around to the enemy, and it would just take too long to grab their handguns from their hips, long enough for the enemy to take lethal action against them. So they decided to comply for now, maybe they will get to fight them and get on a hand to hand combat a bit later. They moved their hands away from their rifles, and put them up.
Bryce thought for a quick second to do a quick draw from his hand gun, but the enemy noticed his eye movement and warned him against it....
"eh...eh.. don't even think about it, you got weapons trained at you and we're not going to hesitate to use them"
Bryce complied as well and decided to keep his hands way up.
"Cover me" one voice said followed a hand grabbing and yanking their handguns from their hip holsters disarming them.
The person then shoved Grayson against the boulder away from his rifle, then patted him down for any weapon. Then he moved to Bryce on the ground and searched him as well. Bryce again trying to be brave and started to grab the enemy's arm trying to take him down, but immediately having a few rounds of bullets shot around him as warning shots.
"You wanna try that again?" the voice holding the rifle said.
"Ok....ok...." Bryce said in defeat.
