Yes first day working a champagne bar.. had worked in a "gentlemans club" owned by my aunt prior .. guy asks for whisky on the rocks .. and because previous no measures it was hand poured to give it a more "with friends' feel .. I just poured out from the bottle what would end up being maybe 3 or 4 measured sizes !! .. manger stood speachless .. guy was super happy !! Did it once more before I developed muscle memory lol .. also I was absolutely not a cocktail waitress but had to help out for asked for some drinks involving twix bars .. dear god it was truely awful both bars fell into the mixed drink I dug my fingers in on impulse to grab them out and lay them over the glass again only for the whole glass rip over onto the customers shoes !! Many many stories most I can't repeat on here .. but one bar we did get to have tips in drinks and convert to cash out at cost . And a few times was given huge Magnums of champagne.. that paid more than a month's rent back then ! What happened in the 80s sadly stays in the 80s but boy were they different and fun times
