You are correct: valet parking is typically found only in the downtown area of major cities and typically at exclusive/expensive restaurants. Some other larger venues like hotels, casinos, and some sports arenas also offer it, usually due to the limited availability of parking in and around these areas/venues.

Can you tell a little bit more about this valet service? We don't usually have this in Europe. Does every restaurant have a valet service? Is that a common thing? Or just in big cities, or really big (or really exclusive) restaurants?
