Seanan, I hope you see this. In case your or your file-person has not seen this, Amazon is ending - or has ended - use of the .mobi format for kindle, and has said they will be using epub going forward. I have no idea if there are other platforms for the .mobi format, but I have found other people who hadn't heard that Amazon was not going to be using it, so I thought to mention it.
