Welcome to June, and welcome back to Tybalt's semi-medieval adventures, in which he tries to stay alive long enough to become the man we know him to be. This story picks up straight from "Mean and Mighty," which is also attached, for easy of catching up, and follows Tybalt out of Armorica on his quest to confirm the current location of the hope chest known as Quickbeam.

Oh-hoho, I'm caught up with Tybalt's stories. Oh no. I'm caught up with Tybalt's stories.
I think we were both referring to mountain ash trees, which appear often in fae lore. I've never actually read Tolkien, so there was no intentional reference.

Just curious: is the similarity of the name of the hope chest Quickbeam to that of one of Tolkien's Ents coincidental, or is there some deep reservoir of folklore from which they both arise?
