Chris

I am very curious about who or what is being imprisoned. The begging fox sounds like the possessed brother. The skull did belong to that group and the mentions of how the image feel was similar to the shared image. Too much to be a coincidence. I am hoping the unborn make a meal out of skull shadow for an increase in nether weight. The black flames destroying the sign - RG found a shortcut. lol

On an alternate route, "nether collective" could very literally refer to the "collective" of 4 people (Claudette, Neshima, Yust, and Randidly), out of which 2 can utilize nether. In which case, it's really not all that random a name after all. It's a name that very specifically refers to those 4, but it does not mean the thing intends to just let them pass. It will still fight even if the proper people appear before it. It will fight them anyway just to put on a show. (In fact, Don there specifically does not want it to simply let them pass, because the REAL objective in this whole mess is to teach Claudette some independence and have her gain the ability to stand on her own two feet. This includes the part where he's alienating her. He loves her enough that he wants her to see him as an enemy, thus assuring that she will have the strength to carry herself without relying on him.)

Well, nether collective, huh? Is it just me, or does this feel like this "skull's shadow" was set up as an opponent that can only be defeated by Randidly, with this "nether collective" name just being some kind of fitting name to explain away why it is so tailor designed to be an opponent he could beat but nobody else can. Another HUGE freaking hint in this direction is that the lock was set up to, at first, only be accessible by 4 people acting together. The exact number Claudette's group would have in her group of allies. I mean, even with Neshima pinning that thing down, it was still throwing off enough nether that someone without Rand's body couldn't even get near the thing. If they still had Rand in the group, he has enough mastery over nether that he probably wouldn't need to do the sacrificial tackle thing and could just defeat it and move on, but this contingency works out fine as well. It looks like this was a con job from the start. He gets to avoid pissing off the important people, Claudette gets her freedom as her 3 possible outcomes are 1. She gets the prize herself and is free, Neshima gets the prize and she has no interest in tying her down, or (best outcome from Don's perspective) Rand gets the prize, they form an alliance, and Rand still sets Claudette free because he has no interest in keeping her under his thumb. (In other words, bad for Rand and good for Don. Claudette getting that prize is the best option overall.) (On a personal note, my prediction last chapter about Rand being on the path to destroying the skull has still not been invalidated. That can very much still happen.)

Subliminary

Randidly is inside the skull of truth fighting off Devick who’s inside a copy of his body, but you’re out here asking about Expira’s loneliest bachelor xD

I know it’s way off-topic, but was there any mention of Commissioner Arrieti’s bachelor status recently? I may have missed it but last I remember was Tatiana setting him up with a bbq restaurant owner (Selene or Serene i think).

Ferco

Was it just me, or the chapter felt a little confusing in some parts? Maybe I'm too sleepy at the moment, or maybe it was on purpose?
