Dark Age Fortress WIP

I am happy to report my lower back/hip issues are getting better and better and I am very glad about that. Needless to say my motivation to do all the exercises required is at a peak :)
Now that I have completed the extras for the market I have started continuing working on the Dark Age Fortress prototypes. I have the small gate and bastion module test build done and took a couple of pics combining them.
Speaking of combining .... I will include a simply slot option where you can use office clips to join modules together from the bottom side (if you want to stay modular and flexible).
gate with roof option
For the gates and towers I am planning two roof options for more variations ...
stairs
... and while I will add optional ladders printed right on the modules I want to create some "3D" stair modules too. Here I have a simple and advanced one but I think I will also do a 3x1" step version for better placing 1" base minis.
I will look into IndieGogo to see if I can make a small project there as it could help to focus spreading the news about this project and thus allowing me to spread the cost and make it cheaper AND potentially add more options if successful. But I have to see how much work that would be and how long it would delay the release. The alternative would be to start working on different packages as usual. I am planning to go with walls first (in different lengths and options), then towers and finally gates and bastions. Before that to start I want to make very simple palisade walls and gate. These should be versatile to use in any kind of smaller village setting.
I also want to add more details like banners to the fortress. Besides color options what kind of symbols would you like to see on banners and gates as options to depict different clans?
Let me know what you think! Is there anything missing? Do we need broken walls and towers versions?
I will head into the weekend for now and look forward to continue next week!
Until next time, stay safe and keep building :)
Chris
