New in 2019
🕑 Added 2019-01-11 10:35:43 +0000 UTCEnd of last year I announced I will add some freebies this year, so this is what it's about :-)
Every now and then, when I had a little time, I started working on smaller models. Usually it was stuff that would enhance a scene with more detail, like crates and barrels or carts. Even for a gaming session I believe adding these little things, adds so much for atmosphere and immersion ... and sometimes even functionality (hiding behind things!). Of course a diorama also looks better with it.
But I wasn't sure how to release these things. To make a proper set I would need more of them and then it would interfere with my regular sets ... so I decided to "sprinkle" them on my Patreon as I make them for free!
This is my way of saying thank you for your support and I hope you will enjoy them. The focus of this little gems will be stuff that will enhance a setting. As I said in the beginning it will be crates (many different ones) and barrels and I intend to update my carts and wagons with new textures.
I think my texturing style has improved a little over the years and I am looking forward to remake the old carts over time. Imagine these with updated textures!
This will be a fun thing for me to do, nice distractions from the larger regular projects and there is so much I can think off :-)
But when? ... do I hear you ask! I will start releasing one of these every middle of the month, to offset the regular end-of-month releases.
So let me know what you think of this? Do you have ideas for small gems? Let me know in the comments! Also if you like the idea, help spread the word. This will lead to another topic I want to tackle in 2019: attractive goals = some more fun rewards! (more on this in another post).
As usual - until next time, have fun and keep building!
Chris

That could be my motivation to start using LED lighting!

And if I may, a lampost to hang a lantern from. Next time I do a street scene I would love to have a couple on the street, even if it is just outside an apothacary or spell shop. That would spruce up any street scene.

Cool! Haven't seen these before. I also want to make some Asian carts ...
