Tea house, the solo version
🕑 Added 2018-08-24 08:54:04 +0000 UTC This summer was a very hot one. I will not tell you guys how little I did wear during the last month - it was the bare minimum, but I was still decent :-) - yet I often thought about how cooling a silken kimono would be. I have read that one of the reasons why silk was such a valuable commodity in Feudal Japan was, that it helped bear the hot and humid summers in these days.I have completed the texturing of the entrance parts for the solo house. The humble entrance has a little waiting bench and an optional hiding panel on the other side.

The other entrance just has a little roof and some stone steps.
Now I can start the final steps, like the weathering. I think most of the time these tea houses were kept in good condition, but still a paper model always looks a little better when you can see the effects of using and aging.
After that I can start packaging every up, making instructions and getting the set in shape for release.
As happy as I am to complete this set, I am very much looking forward to next months boat! The last boat set, the rowing boats, have raised a lot of interest and I think you guys will love what comes next! :-)
Happy building,
Chris
