I think is the best conversation you've had on my nudie judie so far. I have had the same friends for 45 years & have added as friends married & I became friends with spouses. We have had ups & downs but have worked to keep things going. We do things together, travel together & always ask each other to join & if one if us can't, we let them know why, its usually money or.family & no one gets their feelings hurt. I think if a friendship is important you need to work at it & sometimes , even if you don't want to, be sensitive to that friends needs & I do, which is why in my 70s, I still habe my friends from when I was in my 20s. One other thing don't ever listen to someone in Boston talk about NYC, I grew up right outside NYC, still visit often, never saw a rat & there are cheaper areas in the city than Manhattan, plus Boston is not cheap either, I do like Boston, love the Italiam sections, but NYC is the greatest.
