I've been thinking more of that film Doubt - in fact I haven't stopped thinking about it since i watched it Sunday! I suspected it was adapted from a play. The pacing was excellent and the script gave the actors so much to work with... then I was thinking about other films I know which were adapted from plays and the first thing that came to mind was Lost In Yonkers with Richard Dreyfuss but it was Mercedes Ruehl that stole my heart and I've loved her ever since. Noises Off is another play made film which is a hilarious play-within-a-play concept. The second act is all physical comedy. Huge cast - Carol Burnett, Michael Caine, Christopher Reeve, Nicollette Sheridan... If you've got any suggestions for great plays turned film I'm very interested!

I enjoyed it a great deal, though there were some areas in there that were not my strongest. But I definitely knew “Doubt,” since I’ve not only seen the movie, but at least three different productions of the play it’s based on.
