Starting the bigger boats
🕑 Added 2018-07-09 10:57:10 +0000 UTC I have begun with the prototype for the gun boat, the first of the larger boats. The length is apx 8" so we have more breathing room for minis now :-)I have also announced my plans for the Pirate Fleet Builder series over on these English and German paper modelers sites.

I use these communities for feedback both for the look and construction of the ships. Or course I will remain to show WIP info here too! :-)
I did a quick test to see how many minis I can cram into the boats so far.
Managed to get five into the jolly boat with wider inlay and then eleven into the gun boat (without a mast that is).
Next I have to start thinking how I want to design the mast and sails. I hope to be able to make it removable and find a way to attach it well to the hull. This should then work for all the larger ships too!
Happy building,
Chris
