Moulinette - summary of the new features (May 8)
🕑 Added 2021-05-08 18:16:10 +0000 UTCA lot of new features have been released in April and recently. This post lists them:
- Support for Amazon S3 storage : people who configured S3 storage in FVTT can know use it to store assets. Moulinette will scan it as any other folder.
- Support for Forge VTT : moulinette supports Forge VTT. It scans both "My Assets Library" and "The Bazaar".
- Support for assets in Core/System/Modules : a lot of modules and systems provide assets. Moulinette offers capabilities to automatically scan these other sources. By default, FVTT assets are now scanned.
- Macro execution : if you specify the name of a macro in the Tiles and Images submodules, this macro will automatically be executed when you drop the image on the scene. This gives you interesting capabilities like adding shadows.
- Game icons with transparency : you can now download game icons with transparent background.
- Support for webm : Tiles supports video format `webm`. Moulinette indexes these files and even uses a thumbnail (same name but with `webp` format) if there is any.

Sorry for this late answer. It is possible to have custom assets outside /moulinette (https://github.com/SvenWerlen/moulinette-core/tree/main/docs). Both images and tiles folder do the same (they are both indexed). In the past, only /images was scanned (legacy behaviour) Moulinette Picker is not yet working well. You might indeed experience some strange behaviour. Feel free to disable it. Thanks!

Can we have custom assets directories outside of the moulinette one? I don’t want to have to move all my assets from /assets in my data dir Secondly, seems like it says on ur git hub to put the tiles in custom in the images folder but I see a tiles folder there does it matter which one it goes into? Lastly, when replacing the default file picker with moulinette, there’s odd behavior when instaniating it from the normal tiles button in foundry You are doing Gods Work being able to search through all directories has saved sooo much time I cannot thank you enough… That really needs to be wrapped into the core at some point as their built in search is amateur at best and their file picker in general is not good
